I don't own Avatar; James Cameron does. All the Avatar stuff belongs to him. However, my Na'vi character, myself, the Dragon Weyr and its technologies, and the Pandoran animals of my menagerie are all mine. The Protoss - apart from my characters - all belong to Blizzard Entertainment._\n\n**Pandora's Templar**\n\nA Work-In-Progress Story by Coranth Dehanae\n\nChapter 22\n\n(Continued from Chapter 21...)\n\n'Humph! Time to stop pissing around and get out there,' I thought. Then - still _concealed_ from sight - ever so carefully, I weaved my way through the writhing bodies of 'They Who Could Not See' and made my way over to the corral, whereupon I lightly leapt inside it, and then swiftly began attaching the Timed Warp Beacons to the _taparrabos_ of our captured females. So injured and ill were they, that most did not react when I attached the Beacons; even Lompor's wife, Maena - whom was usually quite talkative when at her best - spoke not a word. 'I hate to be so callous, but that's probably a good thing' I thought, 'we don't want **_them_** knowing we're here; not until it's all over... for them.'\n\nI worked as quickly as I could - attaching six Warp Beacons to six _taparrabos_ of six of our females in record time - but when I moved to attach the final Warp Beacon that would free my beloved Na'vi friend Txe'lan from the depths of this accursed place, well, that's when things took a turn for the _eerie_... Although I was concealed - although _no one_ could see or hear me - as I approached her, Txe'lan painfully lifted herself from the cradle of filth in which she lay and turned her head to _stare straight at me_, blinking bloodshot, blackened eyes inset within a bruised and battered face, as she rasped through dry, cracked lips, **_\"I... I knew you would come, Txa'vit. I knew you would come; I knew you would save us. Oel ngati kameie. Nga yawne lu oer, ma yawne.\"_**\n\nHer voice - barely audible above the din of the horrors happening around her - was so quiet, in fact, that for a moment I wondered if what she'd said had been a figment of my imagination. _Had_ she just spoken, or was I just hearing things? Then, a moment later, the _content_ of what she'd said registered in my brain. 'What the f--? Where did _that_ come from?' I wondered, staring at her for a moment, dumbfounded. 'She didn't just say what I _think_ she did, did she?' In all the time I'd known her, Txe'lan had _never_ spoken of any romantic feelings towards me except, perhaps, for the time she'd slept with me in my bed, when I'd suffered the nightmarish visions of 'They Who Could Not See'; she'd told me that her parents would be \"honored\" if I accepted her as my mate.\n\n'That can't be right, can it?' I questioned, pulling my thoughts back to the subject at hand. 'I'm not even of her species and we're just... friends... aren't we?' I hoped so, for I had no intention _whatsoever_ of walking the path of a certain race traitor of humanity from a certain fictional film... 'Bah, I hate that movie--and I haven't even seen it!' I thought, angrily. 'Fuck that shit!' A shudder coursing through my body, I shook my head as I pulled my thoughts from dangerous waters. 'Damn... it's got to be fever or some other sickness that's affecting her mind!' I concluded. 'Why else would she just... come out and _say_ that, here of all places? Unless... she really _does_ love me. Nah...'\n\nShaking my head, I carefully attached the Warp Beacon to the _taparrabo_ of my Na'vi friend, setting its coordinates and timer to match those of the other Beacons. 'I hope these things work. If their timing mechanisms are accurate, Adun willing, they should all activate at once; every female - including Maena and Txe'lan will be moved safely to the Autodoc. After that... we bring the pain!' with my work completed, I carefully weaved my way through the disgusting orgy of They Who Could Not See' and made my way back towards the _Tsampongu_, still hidden in the shadows. Upon my return to them, Lompor faced me, the snarling visage of his helm eerie in the light. _\"Are things well, ma Olo'eyktan? Is it done?\"_ he asked, softly.\n\nWithout any hesitation, I nodded, before replying, _\"It is ma Tsmukan, and things are well indeed; our females will soon be taken from here, back to Txra'kon We'er.\"_ At this, a great weight appeared to lift from the entire _Tsampongu_, many of the Na'vi - though they kept alert - relaxed, their stances loosening somewhat. All that changed, however, when I raised a hand with five fingers uncurled; the Na'vi resumed their stances and beneath his helm Lompor grinned ferally - this was it. I began to count backwards, lowering my fingers with each number counted. Five. Four. Three. Two. One... Zero. The first sign that things had just gone pear-shaped for 'They Who Could Not See'... was when the females they had captured from Clan Tawkami - during their retreat from the earlier battle - disappeared, all at once, in a burst of blinding, cerulean light.\n\nThe second sign that things had just gone pear-shaped for 'They Who Could Not See'... was when they heard the powerful _ìley_ sounded by our _Tsampongu_ as they parted to let the Reavers fire. The final sign that things had just gone pear-shaped... well, that was when the Scarab Drones exploded in their midst! Before the multitude of horrors could even think to act, over half of them were utterly _decimated_ by the thunderous, fiery blast of the exploding drones. When they had attacked us first - earlier, upon the surface of Pandora - we hadn't been prepared at all... but now we were. As **_they_** raced toward us to flay us alive with claws and teeth, the Reavers with their manufactured Scarabs made them _pay_, brutally, for every step they took.\n\nWhen they got within ranged attack distance, Master Oo'ano and the United Hunters rained\u0026nbsp; death and destruction upon them with multiple devastating Photon Cannon blasts, or - in the case of the traditionalists - modern 'Tek Arrows' equipped with explosive heads, shot from beautifully decorated ceremonial bows. If the horrors survived that, however, and managed to close to melee distance, things became even worse for them; beneath the covering fire of the Hunters, Master Warrior Lompor - roaring like the mighty _Palulukan_ after which his armor was modeled - tore them asunder, hewing their limbs with his Psionic Blades, or even _breaking their spines_ with monstrous, armor-enhanced strength!\n\nInspired by his actions, the Warriors he led - though they could not hope to do the same - fought with fervor unmatched by any Na'vi before them; with his might and that of both _Eywa_ and Txra'kon We'er with them, they would purge this Enemy forever from their world! Whilst this was happening, dear readers, I did not stand idle; on the contrary, my armor and Templar Robe soon became stained crimson with the blood of 'They Who Could Not See' as I set about decimating them with Psionic Blasts and 'Micro-Storms' - blasts of manifested Psionic Lightning from my hands. Even Tsa'hik San'eya got her chance to do battle; at my side - protecting me as I waded into the thick of the maelstrom - she danced with elven-like grace, wielding her \u0026nbsp;_Sýs'scál'tár_ with deathly efficiency as she hewed and hacked the limbs from her foes!\n\nAnd whilst all of this was happening, dear readers, the mighty Protoss Reavers kept up their tireless, unending assault - **_'THOOM, THOOM, THOOM'_** - the sound of their tiny but oh-so-powerful Scarab Drones a constant accompaniment amid the raucous din, as the War Machines continued to manufacture them and launch them at the Foe! Alas, however, even with the Na'vi equipped with the best weapons I could give them - and even with the might of the Dragon Weyr's powerful Reavers to aid us - _it still wasn't enough!_ _\"Fall back!\"_ I commanded as 'They Who Could Not See' began tossing biological grenades at us; the heads of their own _fallen_, filled with a mixture of toxic vomit, corrosive acid, and other lethal substances too horrific to identify.\n\nDear readers, I know it seems laughable, that we could be stopped by weapons so simple and primitive, but the vile substances these grenades were filled with could deplete our shields in moments! _\"Fall back now!\"_ I repeated. _\"Aynga Tsampongu, to the Tunneling Machine! Go, go!\"_ _\"But what of the Enemy?\"_ Shouted Tsu'ket. _\"We must not run; we can defeat them!\"_ Upon hearing this, Lompor - after tearing one of **_their_** heads from its shoulders - thumped the brash fool for his idiocy! _\"Our Olo'eyktan sees much clearer than you, skxawng!\"_ he roared in Tsu'ket's face. _\"Txa'vit knows that 'They Who Cannot See' will overwhelm us with their sheer numbers and vrrtep weapons if we do not do as he says! He says we must retreat, and so we shall but we **will** make them pay for it!\"_ Thus, we fell back.\n\nYou must understand, dear readers, that we did not turn and _retreat_; no, we actually _moved backwards up the tunnel_ such that we could still protect the Reavers even as we moved back to the TBM; we made those vrrtep bastards pay with _blood_ for every bit of ground they took from us! When we arrived back at the TBM, fortunately - due to our psychic bond - the Dragon Weyr was aware of the situation, and thus, the machine was powered up and ready to go. As fast as they were able, the mighty Reavers retreated into their docking bays whilst the Na'vi of the United Tsampongu stormed up the TBM's multiple docking ramps. When the last man was inside, however, - and 'They Who Could Not See' attempted to follow him - the ramps became lethal traps and hindrances to the foe!\n\nFeet were burned when the ramps were superheated; bodies were impaled when spikes sprouted suddenly from them; and many of the foe were crushed to pulp or sliced to pieces when said ramps finally closed! Even worse, when 'They Who Could Not See' attempted to surround and overwhelm the great machine with superior numbers, the shield surrounding the machine - which was far stronger than our own personal shields - repelled them... or, they were _gored_ upon the blades of the machine's cutting head, when it spun into motion as we prepared to return to the surface! _\"Breach the Seal, my friend!\"_ I shouted, as I joined Lompor and San'eya in the Command Center once more. _\"Unleash upon **them** the hell of their own making that is Aywiya Vitra Txampay!\"_\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Pandora\\'s Templar","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/260865-pandora-s-templar-chapter-21.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/266048-pandora-s-templar-chapter-23.json"}}
