Please leave a comment.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\n\n©Chaotic Keela\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI leap into the air,  \nmy talons scraping\u0026nbsp; the hardened earth.  \nMy wings unfold,  \nlifting me into the skies where I belong.  \nThe wind caresses me,  \nlike a lover or a close friend,  \nwhispering beautiful secrets  \nin an untold, primal language.  \nI unleash a bestial roar,  \na playful challenge to the world below.  \nFlying into the setting sun,  \nI chase rays of\u0026nbsp; diminishing light  \nas the colors dance upon my sparkling scales.  \nI spend hours there, but the time passes quickly;  \nthe light of Father Sun is soon replaced  \nby the pale glow of Mother Moon.  \nTucking my wings, I dive downwards--  \nspiraling, twirling, twisting,  \nunfurling them just in time to catch myself,  \nlanding with natural precision and grace.  \nAs the world begins to fall into peaceful slumber,  \nso I do; the night singing to me her ancient lullaby.  \nI startle awake, the sun shining down onto my face through glass.  \nI look down in surprise. My scales have turned to skin,  \nmy magnificent wings into weak, human limbs.  \nI don't understand this change in form,  \nmy brain still under the effects of deep sleep.  \nThinking back, I realize my blissful hours were only a dream.  \nThe harsh reality delivers a crippling blow to my soul,  \nthe soul of a true dragon trapped in a body of flesh.  \nI cover my human eyes with unwanted hands,  \nmourning the loss of something I never truly had--  \na happiness I was not born to know.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
