Brian, Deathmon, and Dragonmon belong to him. \<^.^\>    **   **_Axel & Rena._** **_Chap 35_** **           ** **Mary shivered, wiping the sleep from her eyes as she groggily sat up. While the redhead's sight readjusted to the gloom of the cavern, she began to wonder just how close it was to daybreak. Mary had always been an early riser, even as a child. Reluctantly she slipped from the warm spot next to her fuzzy lion lover and crawled over to what was left of the fire that had been heating their cave hideaway.**   ** The fire had died sometime during the night, leaving the cave in cold darkness. All that was left of the fire's warmth giving light were a few glowing embers. Taking a stick from the nearby pile of wood, Mary set about digging through the ash, raking all the hot coals together in a small pile. God it was amazing. Her father had been right when he said that girl scouts would give her the skills to survive in the world.** ** Little did she believe it would be the digi-world.** ** Taking a handful of toilet paper, something she had liberated from the train because she wasn't about to use unknown plant life to wipe her backside. She wrapped a generous amount around a few twigs and placed the bundle on the hot embers. In no time she had a small flame going which, with just the right sticks and a few well-chosen logs from the stack of wood, became a nice roaring fire once again.** ** Soon there was more then enough light and heat to make the stone cavern livable once again. With that done she stood and took stock of the others still snoozing away. Leo was still asleep behind her but without Mary snuggled into the crook of his arm, he had rolled onto his side and was now hogging the blankets. She could even feel the cave floor vibrate slightly at his heavy snoring. The redhead smiled, she had become so used to his thrumming that she couldn't remember how she ever slept without it. **   ** Turning slightly Mary looked to the back of the cavern where Dee was. The large flat rock she was laying against jetted from the ground at an odd angle, giving the demon a reclining look. Meanwhile Brian, Dee's new pet, was curled up next to his mistress, his head cradled in her lap. The two looked so happy together under his dark cape. Hard to believe that 18 hours ago, Brian had wanted to kill team 1... ok maybe just her brother.** ** _Speaking of which..._** **Looking across the dancing fire, Mary found her brother Axel still residing in dreamland, sleeping back to back with his yellow mate. Mary couldn't help but smile, Axel was right; Rena was cute in the way she slept. She was curled up, her knees almost touching her chest, hugging her long fluffy tail as it wrapped about her. She was even sucking her thumb...** **But Mary's smile died as she looked to Axel. Her brother was spooning with the only other human female of the group, Kimmy. Her daughter was pressed against Axel, her backside snuggled tightly to his... But that wasn't all, for Axel had one arm draped over Kimmy's side. What was worse was that the teen had pulled his arm up and was hugging it to her chest, trapping it between her young breasts.**   **And then there was Cleo, Kimmy's Gatomon. She was lying atop the blanket that covered the three bodies below her. The cat was draped over Axel and Kimmy and was sound asleep. Somehow, like all cats, she made the unusual position she was in look absolutely comfortable.    ** **Mary wanted desperately to rush over and kick her brother awake so she could bitch him out. She wanted to protect her daughter from becoming the adult the teen already was. With a sigh, Mary sat down next to the fire to reflect on all that had happened since leaving California, '_God was that just a month ago_ ?'** **Mary almost couldn't comprehend just how much her life had changed. The loss of her husband of 12 years to some bimbo, finding out her daughter was bi and having sex with her pet talking cat from another world, the knowledge that her brother wasn't human anymore and that his other half was a evil digi-god, and finally there's the 7 foot tall lion-man that she herself was now in love with.** **'_Oh... lets not forget that Axel and Black raped Kimmy,_' Mary's mind stated sarcastically. '_Or that Kimmy can't wait to have sex with either of them yet again... but why shouldn't they_ ?'**   **Mary blinked as the question popped into her head, this wasn't the first time it had entered her thoughts either. She had asked herself that same question just before her little adventure in the shower, the one where she had first fantasized about Leomon. '_So why shouldn't Kimmy be allowed to be one of Axel's Beta's?_ ' her mind asked yet again. '_Because it's immoral to have sex with a family member_?'** **'_But Axel isn't genetically Kimmy's uncle, nor is Kimmy truly related to Axel... No! Don't think about that_ ,' the redhead flinched. Her thoughts seemed to be taking things into their own hands and she had to take control. '_I gave birth to Kimmy so that makes her my daughter and Axel's niece... but yet_ ?'** **Mary was suddenly snapped out of her deep thought when she heard a noise from the other side of the fire. By now the blaze in front of her had died down a little and she could see the 4 bodies on the other side through the flames. Across from her Axel was slowly waking up and Mary found herself watching her brother intently, waiting to see what his reaction would be at waking up snuggling Kimmy.**   **Axel groaned slightly as his sluggish brain started to work. Though still somewhat asleep, it wasn't hard to figure out that he had a shapely female in his arms. Nor was it hard to figure out that her backside was pressing pleasantly into his groin, causing his dick to spring to life and press against her ass. With his eyes still closed, he leaned in close and lovingly kissed her neck, warm lips meeting smooth skin...** **'_Wait a sec... where was Rena's fur_?' his mind asked through its fog filled haze.** **Axel's eyes sprang open and he saw for the first time, that it was Kimmy who was in his arms. What's more, the teen had reacted to the kiss by groaning happily and thrusting her ass back onto his hard tool. Yet there was also something pressing against his back, and a heavy weight atop him, all keeping him from escaping the teen. Taking a deep breath and trying to relax, Axel quickly took stock of his situation.** **Ok, Rena was behind him, Cleo was on top, and Kimmy was hugging his arm to her chest... Axel swallowed hard for he could feel the warmth of the teen's breasts pressing against his forearm. Of course none of this helped, in fact it was just making things more complicated. As for his hard tool, it was now a raging shaft begging to be unleashed against the tight young ass pressing back onto it. "...Oh hell...," he whimpered in a soft voice, then...**   ** Mary blinked, she had seen Axel's eyes snap open, and the horrified look in them as he realized that it was Kimmy he was making out with... then he was gone. Axel had disappeared again, teleporting away just when things were getting good... '_No! Don't think that way!'_ She sighed inwardly_._** **"How long have you been watching?" Axel's voice came from behind the redhead.** **"A few minutes now," she said softly as her brother stepped up beside her.** **"I... I'm sorry." Axel sighed as he looked over at the still sleeping figures. "I didn't mean for that to happen, hell I didn't even know it was Kimmy until..."** **"It's ok Axel." Mary cut in. "It's not your fault that Kimmy snuck over to sleep with you during the night."** **"Err... she did?" he blinked** **"Yeah," she nodded before pointing off to her left at the unused sleeping bag. "I remember that she and Cleo were lying down near me before I drifted off to sleep."** **"...Oh..." said a relieved Axel. ** **"However!"** **Mary challenged, her voice stern. "It doesn't excuse that..."** **"Huh?" he blinked as he looked at were she was looking, right at the tent in his pants. "Oh shit...err... sorry about that, too."**   **Mary quickly hid the smile that flooded her lips, it wasn't everyday that she could get Axel to squirm like this. Yet she didn't have the heart to keep it up for long. Axel was a good guy and it's not like he really enjoyed the thought of being with Kimmy. "Axel," she said as she looked up, "I think its time we had a little chat."** **"Ok," Axel nodded as he suppressed a shiver, the image of Black sitting atop a train quickly flashing through his brain.** **'_Wow, flashback!_' Black added as he popped into view... well Axel's view.** **"Come, sit, we need to talk." She continued, patting the ground next to her.** **"May I ask," Axel arched an eyebrow, nearby Black was blinking in disbelief. "What are we going to talk about?"** **"**** About life, the universe, and... everything ****,****" she shrugged.** **'_Damn, talk about de-ja-vu_.' Black shivered. '_Didn't we already have this conversation once, in an earlier chapter_ ?'** **'_Earlier  what_****?' Axel questioned the digi-god.** **'_Nothing, nothing...'_ Black said, he had suddenly found the walls of the cave very interesting.**   **'_Black?_'** **Axel pressed** **'_It's nothing, really_.' Black smiled as he began to fad out. '_Shouldn't you be paying attention... your sisters is trying to tell you something._ '** **"Umm... ok, shoot." Axel shook his head as he slowly sank down next to his older sister.** **"Do you find Kimmy attractive?" The redhead asked.** **Axel nearly fell over at his sister's bluntness. Needless to say, he wasn't expecting to be hit by that bombshell so early in the morning. "What the?" Axel stuttered, looking more then shocked, "What does that have to do with life, the universe, and everything?"** **"Kimmy is my daughter," she stated as she shot a warning glance at her brother. "She is my** **life, my universe, and my everything... same goes for Leo. Now it's high time you and I talked about how you will be affecting her life and mine from now on."** **"...Ok..." was all he could think of to say.** **"Well?"** **"Well... what?"** **Axel asked.** **"Axel," Mary blinked as she looked at her brother, disbelief showing on her face. "Are you going to answer my question," she demanded, "or dance around the subject until I forget what I asked?"**   **"I (cough) thought I'd just duck the whole thing." He shrugged.** **"Well you can't." She snorted, ignoring the weak smile on his lips.** **"Umm, Ok," he nodded... then blinked. "Err, what was the question again?"** **To answer her brother, Mary balled her hand into a fist and raised it threateningly.** **"Ok, ok..." Axel sighed. This wasn't something he wanted to be doing this morning, not when Team 1 was so close to their goal. There were still things to do before tomorrow, like doing recon on the makeshift prison at Rena's village. Yet he also knew that this was something that needed to be addressed as well. "I..."** **"Axel, before you say a thing," Mary cut him off, her steely gaze boring into his eyes. "Remember that I could always tell when you weren't telling the truth. So you had best think long and hard before giving me an answer."** **Axel stayed quiet for a long time, searching his mind and heart for the proper answer for his older sister. How do you weigh the love you have for someone else. Is it physical love, as in what you feel during sex? Is it from the heart, the type that you feel toward family and close friends? Or is it spiritual, as in finding your soul mate, the person who completes you in every way and makes life worth living.**   **Axel had found the latter in Rena, a kindred soul who breathed life back into his stagnant existence.** **But what of Kimmy, what part did she play in his life... or better yet, what part did he want her to play? It was true that the blond teen had been crucial in helping him and Black come to terms, resolving their differences and becoming something new. Yet what did Axel feel toward his niece? From somewhere deep inside him, an answer came floating up.           ** **"Kimmy is family, I see her as my niece and yet, there is something more to her." Axel whispered to his sister as she watched him intently. He was trying to do this right so with a slight shrug he pushed on. "I never would have dreamed that I... that she and I would have ever done what we did. Kimmy may have harbored thoughts of having sex with me, but it never once entered my mind... until..."** **"Until when?"** **Mary asked, her voice soft.** **"Until that night when she kissed me."** **Axel was now looking into the fire as he confessed to Mary. For some reason, staring into the orange flamed helped him to open up. "She awoke something in me that night, something that would have stayed dead or hidden if it wasn't for that kiss. You wouldn't believe the thoughts and feelings I had as she held onto me. I wanted to dive into her right then and there, yet I held enough respect for her to not give in... I still do."**   **"Yet you did sleep with my baby," Mary pressed, taking advantage of Axel's current state to find out all she could.** **"Well," Axel sighed heavily, "that was inevitable. Kimmy opened that door when she kissed me... But it was Black who finally walked through. If you've noticed, I have done my best to keep a little distance between Kimmy and myself until that night in the tunnel. Hell I still want to throw up when I think about what they did down there... but yet, there is part of me that wishes for it to happen again."** **"That's rather nice of you to say bro." Mary smiled as she reached out and gently placed a hand on his shoulder. "I appreciate your honesty."** **"I never meant to do her any harm." He added. "And I'd take it all back if I could."** **"It's ok," she nodded as she turned to watch the fire. "I like that you still respect Kimmy and I know you didn't intend for things to turn out like they have."** **"Gee," Axel said, feeling tones better. "Thanks Mary."** **"Your welcome," she nodded before hauling off and hitting his arm with all she had.**   **"Hey!" he hissed as he quickly began to rub the pain away. It wasn't a forceful punch, at least not to Axel, but never the less it got his attention. "What the hell was that for?** **"Yes, that was a very nice speech you just gave, little brother." Mary said as she flexed her hand. "But you still haven't answered my first question... Do you find Kimmy attractive?"** **"Yes..." Axel pouted while still rubbing his arm. "Yes I find Kimmy attractive. She's smart, she's funny, and she isn't afraid of getting close to Black in more ways then one..."** **"Thank you," Mary smiled, "now was that so hard to say?"** **"That depends," Axel snorted as he crossed his arms in a huff.** **"Now for my second question..."** **"Oh great."** **Said a sarcastic Axel. "What now?"** "Will you accept responsibility for any and all children you father with Kimmy?" ** Axel sat in stunned silence while his sister waited patiently for his response. Unknown to the two siblings, others in the cave had begun to wake and were instantly captivated by their discussion. Everyone waited, hanging onto Axel's silence, wanting to hear his next words.**   **"Mary," he finally said after what felt like an eternity. "I don't know if I can."** **"What!" Mary barked as she spun on her brother, her face turning red with anger. "You would make my daughter raise your bastard children alone?"** **"Whoa! Hold the phone!" Axel quickly raised his hands in defense, his sister looked ready to kill him. "That's not what I meant Mary... you know I would never do that to anyone."** **"No, no you wouldn't." she slowly tilted her head in thought. "So what did you mean?"** **"Humans and digimon can't inter breed." Axel clarified in a rush. "Human DNA needs other human DNA to reproduce. Since I'm part digimon, there is a chance that I can't have children with anyone but Rena."** **"...What?" Mary asked in a suddenly soft voice** **"Well you see... that is..." Axel tried to go on, but couldn't. Before him, Mary looked like she was about to cry. Her face had suddenly turned ash gray and her bottom lip was quivering. "Mary?" he blinked, tilting his head to one side. "Did I say something wrong?"** **"Leo's a digimon." She whispered**   **"Yeah," Axel nodded.** **"But I'm human." She was now whimpering.** **"I know," he nodded again.** **"I... we can't have children?" she asked in dismay. "I'll never be able to give him cubs of our own?"** **"Oh that," Axel chuckled as he waved a hand, trying to dismiss her fear. "I kinda figured that you two would want kids of your own, so I took the liberty and tweaked your DNA with Leo's code.** **"WHAT!!"** **Axel cringed at the cacophony of voices that echoed back and forth off the stone cavern walls. Quickly, while Mary sat there with her mouth agape, Axel stood and found that everyone was awake and staring at him. '_Oh shit, I'm a dead man_ .' He thought as he began to slowly back away from the rest of Team 1. ** **'_If you die, does that mean I get full control over your body_ ?' Black asked from inside Axel's head. '_Or do I have to go back to the void and wait until a new key comes along?_ '** **_Axel & Rena._** **_Chap 36_** **The wind kicked up slightly, causing the leaves on the braches to rustle around Axel and Rena. Currently they were lying between two bushes, hiding atop a nice sized hill just outside of Kitsune village. From here they could see the entire town laid out before them, and the army camped out around it. To Axel, the town looked rather odd, as if it were pieced together from bits of Japan's history.**   **The outskirts of the village was surrounded by rice fields and small huts, yet it became more advanced as you got closer to the town's square. The huts were made of wood, straw, and thatch, god they looked rather flimsy. Yet soon they gave way too much stronger pagodas of wood and stone. These homes and small shops gave way too much more modern brick and mortar buildings near the town's square.** **"Is there a reason why none of the buildings are over three stories tall?" asked Axel as he surveyed the town through binoculars.** **"It's just a small village dear." Rena said from his side. "There were only about a thousand of us living in the valley before I left, and most of them liked being farmers. Unlike Cincinnati, we have no need of skyscrapers here."** **"Were everybody knows your name... and they're always glad you came." Axel sang quietly, this of course quickly got his shoulder playfully slapped by his mate.** ** Axel shook his head before turning his attention back to the town... his eyes coming to rest on the fountain. It was a massive bit of artwork that sat in the middle of the town's square, nearly 25 to 30 feet from end to end with a life-sized statue of a female Sakuyamon in its center. She was made of bronze and black marble, and was standing atop a stone alter. Water cascaded from the back of the statue's head, simulating the Sakuyamon's silver hair. While more water spat forth from her outstretched holy staff, a liquid representation of the magic the female digimon possessed.**   **All in all, the village looked rather quaint... if you didn't mind the double, 15-foot tall fence topped with razor wire that cut the town neatly in two.** **The fence enclosed the northern half of the village, from the square on up... yet stopped just short of the first farmstead. This meant that nearly the entire populous of the valley was being forced to live in an aria 1/3ed its normal size. Yet this didn't take into account the other mish-mosh of nightmare solder digimon that had been taken prisoner by Fuzzywig on his march here. Nor did it take into account, according to Brian, that Josh had moved all 74 of his children hostages and their digimon into the makeshift prison as well.** **It reminded Axel of a WWII concentration camp. God it made him sick just to look at it.** **((Though Japan and Germany were notorious for their war camps and treatment of their prisoners during WWII, America too had its fair share of concentration camps within its own boarders. We like to think that the rounding up of people and treating them like cattle was something that only happened in Germany. Yet just after Pearl Harbor, we Americans did the same thing to anyone of Japanese decent... They were herded from the cities they lived in, their lands and property sold, and shipped to the desert to live in tents. It was a dark time in our history and I for one send out my deepest apologies to the survivors, their children, and their grand children.)) **   **"So what do you think?" Rena asked, her voice quivering.** **"That this won't be easy..." Axel replied. "But if we play our cards right, we should survive this."** **"How many will get hurt or die?"** **"On their side... all."** **Axel said softly, and then sighed. "But to be honest, I just don't know."** **Rena was quiet for some time, letting her mate survey the sad sight below, when he suddenly stiffened. Rena felt him jerk and shiver as his feelings began to run cold. Before she could ask what was wrong, Axel handed her his binoculars and pointed. "Down in the square, just passing the fountain," He whispered. "The figure wearing the red 'n' white fur cape."** **Rena took the field glasses and looked. It didn't take long for her to spot the human, as Axel had said; the person was dressed in a bright red cape with white fur trim. As she watched, the human turned and Rena got a really good look at the figure. "Ok," she nodded. "So who's the girl?"** **"That's Josh..." Axel answered.** **Rena almost dropped the binoculars. Finally, after all this time, she had glimpsed the face of the man who had taken over her village and wanted to kill her and her mate... the infamous Fuzzywig.**   **To her surprise, Josh was of Asian descent... she didn't know why, but she had always pictured him as Caucasian. He had a pleasant, almost doll like face with a small nose and slightly pointed chin that gave him a feminine look. He also had long raven black hair that framed his face and was tied back in a ponytail. To top it off, he had glasses, huge wire rimmed glasses. To Rena, Josh looked like a young pretty, all be it a very flat chested... girl.** **"Tell me you're joking." Rena asked as she looked on.** **"The tall, flat chested, Asian girl?"** **Axel asked** **"Yeah..." Rena blinked as she rolled onto her side and regarded her mate. "That's Josh?"** **"That's Josh." Axel nodded.        ** **"Definitely not what I was expecting."** **Rena said as she shook her head.** **"I know what you mean." Her mate answered. "Josh used to get picked on a lot at school because of how he looked, especially by the football team."** **"I can see why he would turn to those role playing games." The fox said as she again turned to watch Josh.** **"Yeah, it was his only escape from reality."**   **"Hmmm... now that I see him," Rena's ears drooped as she talked. "I can't help but feel sorry for him... even if he does want to kill you."** **"Gee, thanks." Axel remarked.** **"See anything you like?" asked a voice from behind the lovers. "If not, then I could possibly get you a closer look.** **Both Rena and Axel had been waiting most of the day for someone to come along and find them, this way they could be captured instead of having to surrender... less questioning that way. As far as Axel was concerned, this guy was late. Slowly, with a sigh, they both turned onto their sides and looked up at a male Renamon.** **He stood just over 6 foot high and had the brightest blue fur Axel had ever seen. Yet his gloves, the yin-yang symbol on his legs and the colored part of his eyes were... yellow. "Hello again... runt." He sneered as he crossed his arms. "I almost didn't recognize you from behind... looks like being in the human world has filled you out quite nicely."** **"Yeah, well don't get any bright ideas," Rena hissed, her ears laying back in anger as she recognized the male. "You had your chance a long time ago and blew it."**   **"We made good friends once Renamon." the blue Renamon stated. "But to have a runt for a mate... I don't think so. Besides, your clan had plans for you."** **'_Well this is awkward_.' Axel thought as he looked between the two Renamon.** **'_You're telling me..._' replied Black from inside Axel's head. '_It's never good meeting any of your wife's ex-boyfriends._ '** **"Plans?"** **Rena blinked in disbelief; then turned and pointed back down at the village below. "Look were their plans have landed them, the valley is under siege and most of the town is imprisoned... all because my clan had plans for me."** **"It's a tragedy I know." Nodded Blue.** **"A tragedy?" scoffed Rena with a roll of her eyes. "I call it poetic justice."** **"Justice... how?"** **Blue asked.** **"Here I am, a runt..." snorted Rena. "And it's up to me to save an ungrateful village full of hypocrites."** **"You're not going to be saving anyone as long as you're your pure." Blue shot back. "You're a danger to everyone as long as you're a virgin... Remember, Fuzzywig needs the untainted blood of your clan to call forth the evil one."**   **"He can try..." Axel sighed; he had just finished stuffing his binoculars into his backpack and was standing up to leave. He had gotten bored at listening to the two Renamon argue and was ready to head down to the village and see Josh without them.** **"And who might you be?" Blue demanded as he moved to block Axel's path. "No, let me guess, you're the runt's tamer aren't you?"** **"He is not my tamer." Rena stated before Axel could respond.** **"He isn't?" blinked Blue, "Then who is he and why is he here?"** **"His name is Axel," she said as she crossed her arms, "and he's my mate."** **"Your... mate?" Blue blinked several times, his mind barely grasping Rena's words. Slowly the repercussions from what she had just said began to form in the male Renamon's brain. "You took a mate?"** **"Yep!"** **Rena smiled as she stepped around Blue and hurried to catch up with Axel, who was now walking down the hill towards the village.** **"She took a mate?" Blue blinked again in disbelief. With a final shrug he turned and ran after the lovers. "You really took a human as a mate?"**   **"Actually," Axel called back. "I took her to be mine... she accepted."** **"But..."** **"We have been lovers for some time now." Rena agreed as she took her spot at Axel's side. "And now I am his legal wife as well."** **"But..."** **"You do realize that my mom will want a full wedding once we get back?" Axel asked as he reached out and took Rena's hand. "Bridesmaids, flowers, cake... the whole fucking sha-bang."** **"But..."** **"Do you really think so?" Rena gasped, her eyes wide with excitement. "Do you think I should wear a dress... or just go in fur?"** **"Stop!** **Just stop right there!" Blue demanded of the lovers. "Are you saying that Taomon actually approved of this union?"** **"How the hell should I know?" Rena shrugged. "It's my life, my body, and my heart... I don't see why I need my mother's blessing to take a mate."** **"So he hasn't taken the tests yet?" Blue was now scratching his head in confusion.** **"Nope" Rena smiled.** **"Tests?"** **Axel asked.** **'_Oh the tests..._' Black hissed, '_I forgot all about them..._'** **"Yeah," Blue nodded, "Three separate trials used to see if your worthy of becoming a mate to the female you chose."**   **"It's almost always given by the head of the female's clan." Rena clarified, her poor Axel looked so confused... or was that scared. "But seeing as how you're not a digi..."** **"Rena?" Axel whispered. "Should I be worried?"** **"I don't think so." She shrugged.** **Mary sat back in astonishment for she had just laid eyes on the prison half of Rena's village. It now lay before her and her teammates, a festering wound compared to the rest of Kitsune valley.** **"Damn." Kimmy breathed from her nearby hiding place.** **"I think I'm going to hurl." Cleo whispered from her tamer's side.** **"Keep it down over there." Mary instructed her daughter, "Remember, we need to remain undetected until we see Axel's signal."** **"Sorry mom." Two voices responded as one.** **The eldest Benden sibling shivered as she tried to force her mind to not dwell on what her eyes had just glimpsed. Yet that was next to impossible. The prison was just as her brother described, an over crowded muddy death trap. If the sight of an over packed stock yard full of sick and dying digimon didn't turn your stomach, then the stench that wafted up from said place surely would.**   **But what really affected Mary the most, was that there were children in the midst of that man made hell.** **Though half of the little city sat behind a high fence, most of the buildings inside were crumbling or gone. Someone must have taken charge inside the pen for the human children had been given the best of the few buildings that remained. This left many of the digimon to make or find shelter were ever they could. What little food they had was handled the same way. The children were fed first, and then the digimon shared what was left.** **The sight of how the digimon prisoners were doing what they could to help the children survive, even at the cost of their own lives... well try as she might, Mary just couldn't hold back the tears.** **Over and over again, Mary's thoughts came back to the children. Those that she saw from time to time were near the age of 14 or 15. Yet she remembered the printout she had been given back at the DDC headquarters. It listed the names and ages of all the captured tamers; the youngest on the list was only 4 years old. As if that wasn't enough, the first child to be taken by Josh's army, had been captured almost two months ago... in real world time.**   **"Two years," Mary whispered to herself. "Some of those children have been prisoners in this world for close to two years."** **"It's a travesty," Leo nodded as he reached out and gently pulled her toward him. "Now you can see why your brother is willing to do whatever it takes to free them."** **"Yes... I understand now," she whimpered as she pressed herself against Leo's strong chest. "I understand and wish him luck."  ** **_The Day Before_** ** "I'm sorry that my drawing skills are so crude," Brian said as Team 1 pressed in to look at the diagram he had made in the cave's sandy floor. "But you can still get an idea of how the town is laid out."** **"It will do," Axel nodded as he looked on. "Again, thanks for the help."** **"Sure, no problem," Brian smiled weakly. Behind Axel, LadyDevimon was watching her new pet with intent eyes... this made Brian feel both intimidated and loved. "So, do any of you have any questions about what I've told you?"** **"I do," Axel said as he stood and moved closer to the makeshift map. His mind was working in overdrive now, desperately trying to form a new plan of attack. Thanks to Dee, Team 1 now knew that Josh had moved all of his hostages into the prison at Kitsune valley. "Is it possible that Takato and Team 2 are possibly heading into a trap?"**   **"Very likely," Brian answered. "Fuzzy... I mean, Josh, was expecting someone to attack the castle after he left. He didn't believe that you would sacrifice yourself for just the few DDC tamers he had captured. He figured that you would selflessly act as a distraction while another team freed the rest of his prisoners."** **"Fuck me," Mary whispered.** **"You were right dear." Rena shook her head in disbelief. "Josh is a crafty one."** **"Yeah, but were does that leave us?" Kimmy asked.** **Axel was quiet for sometime, by now everyone knew to stay silent while his chaotic mind scrambled to save the day. Even Brian had learned not to disturb Axel while he was brainstorming. "Ok," he sighed after a moment. "First off, I need our fastest flyers to intercept Team 2 before they attack Fuzzywig's castle... Cleo?"** **"Not on my best day." The digi-cat shook her head. "Angewomon couldn't cover the distance from here to the castle in less than 24 hours..."** **"Dee?" Axel asked as he turned to the demon.** **"Sorry Axel, but no." She sighed sadly, "Remember, I'm just like Angewomon when it comes to flight."**   **"Well I can't have Rena do it," Axel murmured. "She has to be with me tomorrow."** **"I could travel that far in less then a day." This came from Brian** **"You can?!" Dee demanded of her slave** **"Dee, let him speak... please?" Axel asked.** **"Yes sir." Dee then nodded to her pet. "Elaborate on that."** **Brian nodded his thanks to his mistress and began. "As you all know, I use spirit armor to transform myself and gain the abilities of a digimon. My first armor was that of Deathmon, the grim reaper of digimon. But I have another, one that makes me quite powerful... Dragonmon, a rocket powered techno dragon. In that form, I could easily get to the castle before morning."** **"Thanks for sharing that Brian." Axel now had a mischievous grin plastered to his face. "Dee, it looks like I have a mission for you and your slave."** **"Just name it." LadyDevimon said as she stood at attention.** **"Ok folks, here is the plan as it stands right now." With that Axel laid it all out on the line. Dee was to take Brian, intercept Team 2, and if at all possible, bring them back to the valley. Kimmy and Mary would hike around the valley and come in from behind the prison, their job was to free the children and get them to safety.
