Diamonds danced amongst the water and a few birds soared above. I sighed and slowly stood up. "I waited," I looked down to my gray converse and started to walk just as I heard:      "Hey fag!" a voice I knew all too well called out from behind me.      "What do you want Zak?" I grumbled, fingering the knife in my back pocket. Zak was the homo hater, and I was the homo, and the fag, and the dog fucker even though my special dog did most of- nevermind.      "Oh nothing fur fucker," he chuckled as he stopped a few feet infront of me. 'What do you know! A new name!' i thought to myself. The blade in my back pocket still seemed like a good option but I had to either take a punch or a kick to have jurisdiction god forbid he some how found me and pressed charges. "So are you gonna run? Or just let me have a little break and let me punch your face in right here?" Zak was not the greatest fighter, but he made up for it in strength and stamina.      "How about I make it easier on you and just stand here?" I smiled almost too evily. I lifted the blade out of my back pocket but felt a hand...no a paw grasp my wrist and i dropped the knife thinking it was a cop. Zak looked angrier than ever and that only made me assume it was cop even more so. But then I heard this mystery fur's voice.      "How about I make it easy on both of you and take the 'fur fucker' home and not beat the shit out of you?" the voice nearly laughed while saying fur fucker. I couldn't stop myself from turning around and hugging my mate.      "Kyo!" I yelped in joy. I wrapped my arms around his belly and he wrapped his black bushy tail around my waist.      "Hi love," he smiled, his brown eyes gazing into my hazel ones. He put an arm around me and walked off with me towards the dirt path I had just left to get to the lake. I heard a thud and he stopped. I leaned back to look past his back then down at his feet and saw a rock the size of a golfball at his heels. I chuckled and slipped out from under his grip and he grabbed at me trying to stop me but stumbled and could only watch me approach Zak.      "Do it again," I said while looking at the floor, I didn't want him to see my face.      "What?" he replied confused at my statement.      "You heard me you dumbfuck, do...it...again," I chuckled.      "With pleasure," he said with some newfound confidence. Just before he was about to let go of the rock I grabbed his wrist and threw his arm back sending the rest of his body following down to the dirt. He landed with a grunt and gasped for air. I looked down at him and he could see my now vibrant green eyes and a few of my brown curls hidden beneath my hood.      "Ever hurt me, and you will wake up in the hospital," i paused and couldnt help but grin as i said the next sentence, "ever even touch a hair on his body and you will die," my grin twisted into a wry smile. His face went pale and he gulped, afraid of me for the first time. I had never even dared to show him my strength but he had never gone after Kyo before, I decided once this tension started effecting Kyo it struck a nerve within me. "Good night Zak," I mumbled as I hopped up and skipped over to Kyo like a little girl.      "Was that really necessary?" he laughed.   I wanted to start a new series seeing i haven't written in like forever.
