{"sf1_id":273658,"sf2_id":"bebjQEae","title":"Pride","author":"Raynkusa Shadowfang","words":597,"posted_at":"2011-08-02T16:28:00.000Z","tags":["Long","Pain","Poem","Strength","light vulgarity","pride","sadness"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/273658-pride","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/bebjQEae","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/cd/6e/cd6e63f2-50a3-46fe-bfb0-d87385ce08d5","description":"","content":"\u0026nbsp;\n\nPride\n\nBy Rayn Kusa\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nIt hurts and it brings me to the ground in tears.\n\nPride for who and what I am, why must I change for you?\n\nDo I not have the same right as you?\n\nI am more than meets the eye, so don't discriminate.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!\n\nYou attack me for being heavier than you.\n\nYou disown me for being gay.\n\nYou outcast me for being Albino.\n\nI am through with you; I am not your play thing to do as you wish.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nYou got a problem with me than do something about it.\n\nI am who I am and I will not change what is perfect about me.\n\nI will not fix what is not broken.\n\nSO STEP UP AND TRY ME, I DARE YOU!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI will fight for my right to live and my right to do what is right.\n\nMy pride will not falter under the pressure of your insecurities.\n\nI am too strong, I may suffer but I am going to expose the world to change.\n\nIf you don't like it then you can leave, well go, the door is right THERE!!!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nPride for who I am and what I am, something I desperately need to keep.\n\nI suffered for my rights more than you can imagine.\n\nBeaten, stabbed, shot at, disowned by family, out casted by all, and even lost a dear friend.\n\nWhat more do you want from me?\n\nDo you want me to give up and be like you?\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI can't take it anymore, I have stayed quiet too long and my heart screams for justice.\n\nMy tears have been shed and I even bled spilling on the floor.\n\nWhy are you afraid?\n\nWhy do you stand in my way?\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nIt's time I take a stand.\n\nIt is time that I fight and take what is mine.\n\nBecause I am sick of feeding your greed, it is time you pay me some respect.\n\nSO WHAT IF YOU THINK YOUR RIGHT!?\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nWhy should I be like you?\n\nWell fuck that, I am going to stand here and remove the proverbial cork from the bottle of misery.\n\nI will stand and speak here whether it rains meteors or the earth craps thunder.\n\nI will not give up on my dreams even if you try to silence me.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI will fight for my right to love, work, be happy, to cry, to sit where I wish, and to be me.\n\nSo come on fools, try and stop me...if you think you can.\n\nThe pride of my life is greater than the pride of you thinking you are right.\n\nNo matter how much it hurts...I will not be belittled by you.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI stand here not just for me but for all who are like me.\n\nI stand here for my gay friends as well as my own and fight for my right.\n\nI speak here for my ethnicity as well as all those who are discriminated against.\n\nI speak for those who are tall and short alike.\n\nI stand here for those who are bullied and trotted upon forced to be your puppets.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI am through with you.\n\nYou who beats on the weak and trot upon all those who fight for their right to be happy.\n\nYou who lies and takes from the poor feeding your own desires.\n\nYou who wanted us to give up and die.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nSo here I am.\n\nSo here I stand.\n\nSo here I live.\n\nSo try and stop me if you dare.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
