{"sf1_id":280494,"sf2_id":"Rm0bb4R1","title":"Anguish Rain","author":"Angel LeFey","words":326,"posted_at":"2011-08-25T06:27:00.000Z","tags":["Other","Poem","song"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/280494-anguish-rain","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/Rm0bb4R1","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/5e/20/5e205836-437c-4078-8195-23063152e757","description":"","content":"None of us will soon forget the day before those things arrived.\n\nIn a church yard on a hill a man had just barried his bride.\n\nShe returned that day, alive.\n\nThere is a silver wind on the hirizon.\n\nLike and evil stain on the rising sun,\u0026nbsp;\n\nand as it approched we saw it was her.\n\nHer eyes were red,\n\nand she said your all dead.\n\nthen collapsed down to the ground,\n\nas if some one cut her strings!!\n\nHere in Anguish Rain,\n\never since they came.\n\nWe use to walk the streets of town now we never will again.\n\nSuddenly over the hill a dog lets out and anguished howl.\n\nThere ain't a beast this side of hell that could have brought on what befell that hound.\n\nHe was torn limb from limb.\n\nThere is an evil stinch creeping on the wind.\n\nReeks of pestilance, mixed with death and sin.\n\nFrom over the range, That is where we found,\n\n50 heads of steer,\n\nscattered on the ground,\n\nBut what was real quier,\n\nwe searched all around,\n\nbut no other part was found!!\n\nHere in Anguish Rain,\n\never since they came.\n\nWe use to walk the street of twon now we know,\n\nwe never will agian.\n\nSome say from the skies they fell!\n\nOthers claim they came straight from hell!\n\nSome swear they came from the dark,\n\nyet others claim they came from our angry hearts!\n\nAnd tonight we ride out of desperation,\n\nover the mountian sde toward the reservation!\n\nTo see if they know how to steem the tide,\n\nyet when we arrived they simply turned thier heads,\n\nand the chef said:\n\n\"Now you know how we felt when the white man came!!\"\n\nHere in Anguish Rain,\n\never since they came.\n\nWe used to walk the streets of town,\n\nnow we never will again.\n\nHere in Anguish Rain,\n\never since they came.\n\nWe used to walk the streets of town,\n\nnow we never will agian.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
