I was late and was going to be left behind!\n\nI  \nquickly got to my feet and ran as fast as I can!\n\nNot fast enough I got on all fours. Computer screens  \nand filing cabinets flew by, I had to concentrate hard not to hit one...\n\nThe drowsiness made its way back to me, but I forced  \nit back.\n\nGiving it all my leopard body could handle, I was  \nmade for snow not concrete, claws screeching with the friction, I saw the exit,  \nthe cupboard with the gas masks was next to the doors, as quickly as I could I  \ngot up to two feet and put one on very clumsily.\n\nI went thru one door of the airlock, but had to wait  \nfor it to decompress first...\n\nI'm not goanna be left behind! I broke the lock and  \nsaw the ship it was already taking off I didn't care I was going to catch it  \nwhether I make it or not I'm going to give it all I got!\n\nThe ground outside was not cast out of concrete and  \nmy claws got better traction, I could let the animal inside of me get out!\n\nI could feel my mussels aching, but driven by pure  \nadrenalin I kept going.\n\nI reached the ship, pure hunters instinct took over,  \nI leaped at the ship with everything I had, the world slowed down, I could see  \neverything as it happened, my claw flung forward, rear paws lifting me off the  \nground, flung me into the air.\n\nIn a split second it happened, in that same time it  \nwas over!\n\nMy claw caught on metal scratch marks visible, then  \nslipped off.\n\nThe ship was designed to withstand meteors no need  \nto say snow leopards!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nReality crept back into my mind!\n\n\"What was going to happen to me now?\"\n\nLost in a random planet 100383  \nlight-years from home...\n\nThe silence of zero air was broken by a sonic boom  \nfollowed by a bright flash, as the ship broke the speed of light.\n\n\"You got to get yourself together and survive!\"\n\nI heard a repeated beeping and saw my air tank was  \nnearly empty\n\nAs I took a step back to the base I felt a sharp  \npain in my left leg, I've hurt it in the running.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nInside, I got myself to a medi-kit, and got my leg  \nfixed,\n\nPretty good for a programmer!\n\nI had to get to a radio, internet phone or  \nsomething.\n\nAt least the power grid was a self sustained H3  \npowered generator and never stopped running, once light hits it, it heats up  \nand doesn't stop!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nOn the door read's \"com-cen, restricted accesses\".\n\n\"Well I will never see this place again\" I thought  \nto myself\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nHow the hell does this thing work? Knobs, whistles,  \nlights... I mean I saw them in the movies but never got to use one, I had to  \nuse old computers once but this... this probably predates the dinosaurs!\n\nThere was an oval like thing with a button on the  \nside and a coiled wire running from it.\n\nI almost flung it into the air as I flipped a switch  \nand it yelled out a static sound.\n\n\"Shhhh Bravo alpha India one six four here copy shhhh\"\n\nA mountain lion said at the other end\n\nThere was a long delay:\n\n\"Shhhh Earth to bravo alpha India one six four, we  \ncopy shhhh\"\n\nA cheetah replied\n\nI pressed the button on the side and tried to speak\n\n\"Shhhh hello who am I talking to? Shhhh\"\n\n\"Shhhh Hello who is this don't you know it's illegal  \nto use a radio without a licence? Shhhh\"\n\nThe mountain lion replied\n\n\"Shhhh hi there I am stranded on planet 566 in the H100383  \ngalaxy, can you help me? Shhhh\"\n\n\"Shhhh  \nSon, you are already in heaps of trouble, operating a radio without a license,  \nand now stating you are lost on a planet...? Shhhh\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Shhhh I know it sounds strange but you got to  \nbelieve me, ID 61572, H3P shhhhh\"\n\nThere was  \na silence so quite you could hear a pin fall...\n\n\"Shhhh  \ncan you relay that please? Shhhhh\"\n\n\"Shhhh  \nwhat? Shhhh\"\n\n\"Shhhh  \nsay it again shhhh\"\n\nHe said annoyed.\n\n\"Shhhh Oh ID 61572,H3P shhhh\"\n\n\"Shhhh relaying...repeating it to you... ID 6,1,5,7,2,  \nHarry,3,Pappa. Shhhh\"\n\n\"shhhh ummm I guess shhhh\"\n\nAnother silence followed\n\n\"Shhhh Let me just say that again, you are left  \nbehind, on the mining planet, 566, in the H100383, Galaxy Shhhh\"\n\n\"Shhhh Yes, is there anything you could do? Shhhh\"\n\n\"Shhhh shhhh\"\n\nNothing was said...\n\nJust silence\n\n\"Shhhh I noticed on the calendar that this is just a  \nholiday shhhh\"\n\n\"Shhhh yea... a one year holiday, plus three years there  \nand another three back! Shhhh\"\n\nShhhh\"\n\n\"Shhhh is there no way to turn the ship around? Shhhh\"\n\n\"Shhhh Are you crazy? It is going at ten times the  \nspeed of light! Lightly touching the steering will will through it into a  \nspiral shhhh\"\n\nAnother silence followed\n\n\"shhhh you should know that the government will do  \neverything they can to get you home! The base will definitely have enough food  \nand drink up there to sustain you for the three years it will take to get a  \nresqeu mission up there, take care, and good luck shhhh\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThree years! That all they can do?\n\nBut, I had no choice, I had to sit it out, but that is  \nwhat we snow leopards are good at, adapt and survive!\n\nGrowing up in central Asia on high mountains, ranging  \nfrom 2,700meters up to 6000!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nBut on the bright side, I could pick my room, I could  \nlive in any of the CEO's villas!\n\nI could live like a VIP!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nIn there I didn't find what I expected, I found more!  \nThis is about ten times larger!\n\nI didn't think beds could get any larger! A big screen  \nTV larger than my wall!\n\nWell, I could get use to this!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nAnd as an added bonus, well that's exactly what it is,  \na bonus, I'm getting paid for getting left behind!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI'll just sit it out in luxury!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nOk this is only the second,\u0026nbsp; story I've ever published, so please be nice,\n\nAlthou is is a huge improvement to my first, how I got  \n4 stars I don't know but thank you for whoever gave me those!\n\nHelping with spelling, and grammar is appreciated!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
