# Lost in space... Author: adagio Tags: Lost in Space, Sci-Fi, Snow Leopard, Space Followup on my previous upload Still half drowsy I woke up to a roar. Then it hit me! I was late and was going to be left behind! I quickly got to my feet and ran as fast as I can! Not fast enough I got on all fours. Computer screens and filing cabinets flew by, I had to concentrate hard not to hit one... The drowsiness made its way back to me, but I forced it back. Giving it all my leopard body could handle, I was made for snow not concrete, claws screeching with the friction, I saw the exit, the cupboard with the gas masks was next to the doors, as quickly as I could I got up to two feet and put one on very clumsily. I went thru one door of the airlock, but had to wait for it to decompress first... I'm not goanna be left behind! I broke the lock and saw the ship it was already taking off I didn't care I was going to catch it whether I make it or not I'm going to give it all I got! The ground outside was not cast out of concrete and my claws got better traction, I could let the animal inside of me get out! I could feel my mussels aching, but driven by pure adrenalin I kept going. I reached the ship, pure hunters instinct took over, I leaped at the ship with everything I had, the world slowed down, I could see everything as it happened, my claw flung forward, rear paws lifting me off the ground, flung me into the air. In a split second it happened, in that same time it was over! My claw caught on metal scratch marks visible, then slipped off. The ship was designed to withstand meteors no need to say snow leopards!   Reality crept back into my mind! "What was going to happen to me now?" Lost in a random planet 100383 light-years from home... The silence of zero air was broken by a sonic boom followed by a bright flash, as the ship broke the speed of light. "You got to get yourself together and survive!" I heard a repeated beeping and saw my air tank was nearly empty As I took a step back to the base I felt a sharp pain in my left leg, I've hurt it in the running.   Inside, I got myself to a medi-kit, and got my leg fixed, Pretty good for a programmer! I had to get to a radio, internet phone or something. At least the power grid was a self sustained H3 powered generator and never stopped running, once light hits it, it heats up and doesn't stop!   On the door read's "com-cen, restricted accesses". "Well I will never see this place again" I thought to myself   How the hell does this thing work? Knobs, whistles, lights... I mean I saw them in the movies but never got to use one, I had to use old computers once but this... this probably predates the dinosaurs! There was an oval like thing with a button on the side and a coiled wire running from it. I almost flung it into the air as I flipped a switch and it yelled out a static sound. "Shhhh Bravo alpha India one six four here copy shhhh" A mountain lion said at the other end There was a long delay: "Shhhh Earth to bravo alpha India one six four, we copy shhhh" A cheetah replied I pressed the button on the side and tried to speak "Shhhh hello who am I talking to? Shhhh" "Shhhh Hello who is this don't you know it's illegal to use a radio without a licence? Shhhh" The mountain lion replied "Shhhh hi there I am stranded on planet 566 in the H100383 galaxy, can you help me? Shhhh" "Shhhh Son, you are already in heaps of trouble, operating a radio without a license, and now stating you are lost on a planet...? Shhhh"  "Shhhh I know it sounds strange but you got to believe me, ID 61572, H3P shhhhh" There was a silence so quite you could hear a pin fall... "Shhhh can you relay that please? Shhhhh" "Shhhh what? Shhhh" "Shhhh say it again shhhh" He said annoyed. "Shhhh Oh ID 61572,H3P shhhh" "Shhhh relaying...repeating it to you... ID 6,1,5,7,2, Harry,3,Pappa. Shhhh" "shhhh ummm I guess shhhh" Another silence followed "Shhhh Let me just say that again, you are left behind, on the mining planet, 566, in the H100383, Galaxy Shhhh" "Shhhh Yes, is there anything you could do? Shhhh" "Shhhh shhhh" Nothing was said... Just silence "Shhhh I noticed on the calendar that this is just a holiday shhhh" "Shhhh yea... a one year holiday, plus three years there and another three back! Shhhh" Shhhh" "Shhhh is there no way to turn the ship around? Shhhh" "Shhhh Are you crazy? It is going at ten times the speed of light! Lightly touching the steering will will through it into a spiral shhhh" Another silence followed "shhhh you should know that the government will do everything they can to get you home! The base will definitely have enough food and drink up there to sustain you for the three years it will take to get a resqeu mission up there, take care, and good luck shhhh"   Three years! That all they can do? But, I had no choice, I had to sit it out, but that is what we snow leopards are good at, adapt and survive! Growing up in central Asia on high mountains, ranging from 2,700meters up to 6000!   But on the bright side, I could pick my room, I could live in any of the CEO's villas! I could live like a VIP!   In there I didn't find what I expected, I found more! This is about ten times larger! I didn't think beds could get any larger! A big screen TV larger than my wall! Well, I could get use to this!   And as an added bonus, well that's exactly what it is, a bonus, I'm getting paid for getting left behind!   I'll just sit it out in luxury!     Ok this is only the second,  story I've ever published, so please be nice, Althou is is a huge improvement to my first, how I got 4 stars I don't know but thank you for whoever gave me those!
