 **I Remember, and Mourn**

**_I remember that day:_**

**The twin pillars ablaze like so many of the watching souls;**

**Adults weeping from devastation and loss;**

**Children weeping from pure devastation and violence;**

**So many lost because of just a few, and even more saved by less.**

**_I mourn for those lost:_**

**In the day in which the cold sun shone;**

**For those who died to save others, and those who fell in the burning darkness;**

**For those who turned their back on the world in sadness, fright and anger;**

**In the fight for that which is right that still burns today.**

**_I pray for those who died in sacrifice for this cause, God have mercy._**
