{"sf1_id":295437,"sf2_id":"pnGjKQVm","title":"Internal Conflict","author":"XxsexymarcyxX","words":992,"posted_at":"2011-10-12T01:23:00.000Z","tags":["Human","Non-Anthro"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/295437-internal-conflict","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/pnGjKQVm","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/77/2b/772b46cb-b442-49fc-85b0-0500553f47bb","description":"","content":"\u0026nbsp;\n\nInternal Conflict\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; I fell in love today, but I do not know with whom.\u0026nbsp; I am at war with myself as two men are at war with my heart and each other.\u0026nbsp; The saying that all's fair in love and war could not be more true than in a situation such as mine.\u0026nbsp; Sure, I'm a teenage girl, and this may sound a bit like a \"Twilight\" knockoff, but what happened to that Bella whore and the in-the-closet vampire could not lay a finger on what happened to me.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; My senior year in high school, and I'm seventeen years old.\u0026nbsp; I was new here, but had already made a couple friends.\u0026nbsp; Two other girls, Melissa and Katie.\u0026nbsp; They were the ones who showed me the ropes here.\u0026nbsp; And showed me the first boy that tugged on my heart.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \"Hey, Ellisia,\" shouted Melissa, running down the hall at me, \"Chad winked at me in physics!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \"Really,\" I answered, \"Did you do anything back?'\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \"Just put on my flirty look and twisted my finger in my hair a little.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Chad was the first boy that gave me butterflies at this school.\u0026nbsp; Of course, he gave _all_ the girls butterflies.\u0026nbsp; Chad Griffin, the blonde, chiseled, handsome man with a smile so white that the girls (and some guys) had to look away.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; There was also another boy though.\u0026nbsp; One that nobody else ever paid any mind to.\u0026nbsp; His name was Antony Sheppard.\u0026nbsp; He was the type that died his hair black, wore dark clothing, had a few piercings on places other than his ears, and listened to weird music.\u0026nbsp; There was something about him though.\u0026nbsp; He had a charming smile, yet, you know he was the kind of guy that was out at night doing graffiti.\u0026nbsp; He really didn't have any friends, but there was one thing that attracted me to him.\u0026nbsp; His \"I don't care\" attitude.\u0026nbsp; Chad was _amazing_ but he was like everybody else in that he cared what other people thought.\u0026nbsp; But at the end of the day, I still think I'd have more fun and share a stronger love with someone like Chad.\u0026nbsp; Of course, girls _are_ always attracted to the bad boy.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \"My mind was on more than boys though, because my next class was college algebra, and I had a _major_ test coming up.\u0026nbsp; I really needed this because I needed to get a scholarship so that I could get into a good college.\u0026nbsp; In the old days getting in wouldn't have been a problem, or at least, wouldn't have been as hard as it is now.\u0026nbsp; But about a year ago my father passed away, and left us with nearly no money.\u0026nbsp; It was just my mother and me.\u0026nbsp; That's why we had to move here, in a small two bedroom apartment.\u0026nbsp; I wasn't bothered by it though, I just wanted my mom and I to be happy. Right now we were,\u0026nbsp; she got a new job as a nurse in the town hospital. While I was doing great in school, had two great friends, and the hopes of a budding romance.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; As I was thinking of a budding romance, I saw Chad in the hall, talking on his cell to someone, standing in a corner by a row of lockers.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; I wasn't meaning to eavesdrop, but I did hear him saying that things were going smooth.\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;I also heard him say \"She'll be mine before she knows what hit her\" and when I heard that my heart skipped a beat and so desperately wished he was talking about me.\u0026nbsp; He probably didn't even know I existed though, due to me being new here and only having one class with him.\u0026nbsp; I had six of my seven classes with Antony though, and the one class I had that didn't have either of them in was probably the one I'd like to see the in most.\u0026nbsp; Gym.\u0026nbsp; I smiled at the image Chad's body in gym in a swear soaked shirt, and at the thought of Antony in shorts.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; I got into my college algebra class, and before Mr. Spalding (the most boring teacher _ever_) was in the room, there was already an uneasy feeling.\u0026nbsp; I looked from one side of the room to the other, and saw nothing unusual.\u0026nbsp; The second time I glanced around I saw it though.\u0026nbsp; Antony and Chad were sitting on opposite sides of the classroom like normal, but this time they were staring each other down.\u0026nbsp; It was like the looks cowboys got in those old westerns before a gun fight happened.\u0026nbsp; Now, of course people like Chad and people like Antony never got along well, this seemed like a little much.\u0026nbsp; But before any thing bad happened Mr. Spalding ran in, apologizing profusely for being late.\u0026nbsp; That was what ended the \"game\" the boys were playing.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; The hour came and went, I got my test back with a ninety-two percent, and \"-A\" and I cursed myself for not being good enough.\u0026nbsp; Apparently Chad noticed, and looked over at me smiling.\u0026nbsp; \"It's not that big a deal,\" he laughed, \"I mean, look at me, I got a +C, and you don't see me muttering almost curse words under my breath.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \"Thanks, but it's sort of a big deal.\u0026nbsp; I mean, you can probably get to school on a football scholarship or something, I can't.\u0026nbsp; You see, I can't tackle very well, and my spiral throw needs work,\" I said back playfully.\u0026nbsp; He laughed, and his laugh made me feel really warm inside.\u0026nbsp; Then I realized the warm feeling was me blushing.\u0026nbsp; I quickly looked away, but as I did I looked in Antony direction, only to find him glaring again.\u0026nbsp; As soon as my eyes met his he looked away about as quickly as I had from Chad.\u0026nbsp; What was with him, or them, or whatever? \u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
