**The twinning roses.**

The moon is full and flying high

It sails, careens in quiet sky

Twining roses on the wall

Shine so red in moonlit nigh

Outside all is deathly still

No movements made through strength of will

Twining roses on the wall

Child leans on the windowsill.

Nothing heard, not one sound

Leaves lie still upon the ground

Twining roses on the wall

Ghosts drift silent on the mounds.

The moon flies on silent wings

Watching over the quiet things

Twining roses on the wall

Mourning deep the church bell rings.
