# The Wolf Betrayed/A Renewal of Light

Another one...

The once great wolf

stood yet alone.

He had ones who cared,

ones who loved,

even true friends...

But none were ever there

when he needed.

 

He had been fine,

moving, surging on.

He thought that he had

maybe, already finished.

But she had proven him wrong.

 

He had always been hers,

never spoken, til it mattered.

Her one, her wolf...

Then replaced as fast as the

sun traded places with his

Moon.

 

"Why...Why must it

be so...?"

Another lonely tear,

another lonely cry.

It's is all repeated anew,

his pain neverending.

 

"Is there a way out...?"

he questioned the Moon,

her cold light gleaming down.

He would catch a glimpse,

now and then, of a warmer light,

but it seemed as unreachable as

the Face above him.

 

Will he ever find it?
