A Rare Sight

 

Reunited with the Fat Ass

 

"Damn, this day is just getting better and better," John slapped my back.

 

"No kidding," I replied, still a little shocked to see him.

 

"You look good dude; I see you got some new clothes."

 

"Thanks, I could say the same thing, but all of your clothes look the same, stretched to an ungodly level.  How many X's now, 3?  4?"

 

John kicked me, "still haven't changed have you?"

 

"I don't recall Mr. Kool-Aid Man."

 

"Nope, I guess not.  So how's your journey going?"

 

"Pretty good, I got my first badge," I showed him the Stone Badge I had won.

 

"Nice, I got one to," he shows me his.

 

"I figure you're going to Dewford Town for the second badge, am I correct?"  John asks.

 

"Sure am, are you also?"

 

"Yup."

 

"Sweet, hey you want to tag along for a while?  It'll be nice to talk to someone other than my Pokemon," I ask John.

 

"Hell yes, you know you won't survive without me."

 

"Of course, because if we're stranded on an island and you die, I'll have enough food to last until I'm 90," Buddy and Zigzagoon start chuckling.

 

"Shut up!  Come on let's get ready for dinner, I'm starving."

 

"What a surprise," I said in a sarcastic voice.

 

Fast forwarding to after dinner and training

 

"Man that food was good, I couldn't eat another bite," John says as he's slapping his stomach.

 

"Yes you will, another hour and you'll be chewing on a Twinkie," I said while slapping his back.

 

"Yeah probably, alright, let's meet after breakfast at the training grounds tomorrow."

 

"You got it, see ya' tomorrow."

 

"Same to you Garrett."

 

We all go inside and start to get ready for bed, soon enough we all fall asleep.

 

 

I could see Chole, she was unconscious, I was next to her in some giant cell.

 

"Thanks to your friend, we have found the key, but before we use it, you will suffer for the casualties you have inflicted on us," said some mysterious voice.

 

"FUCK YOU!" I yelled out.

 

"Such language, send them out."

 

All of a sudden, cages opened and three Houndoom ran out and came toward Chole.

 

"Oh no, CHOLE, CHOLE GET UP!" I yelled to her.

 

She didn't respond.  The Houndoom then began to claw and bite her.

 

"CHOLE, PLEASE GET UP!" tears began to form from my eyes.

 

One of the Houndoom then raised his claw to deliver another blow, it felt like in slow motion as the claw came down.

 

"CHOLE!!!!!!!!!!"

 

"Chole!" I said as I jump up and awake from my sleep.

 

"Ughhhh, what Garrett, something wrong?"  Chole said in a groggy voice.

 

"Oh, it's nothing," I reply, rubbing my eyes.

 

"Did you have another nightmare?"

 

"Yeah, but, how did you know?"

 

"Well one, your sweating like you just ran a marathon, and two, I watch you almost every night, twisting and turning and making sounds."

 

"Oh."

 

"Come on, lets talk about it outside, I'd love to see the sea when it's still dark."

 

I sigh, "alright."

 

Before we leave the room, Chole quickly changes and turns into a Vulpix.

 

"Okay let's go," Chole says.

 

We both go out on the back deck of the boat, we start to walk around.

 

"So tell me, what do you keep dreaming of?"  Chole asks me.

 

"Just...nightmares," I respond back.

 

"I know that dumbass, I mean what do you dream of?  I'm part psychic you know, I might be able to help."

 

"Well, to put it in short terms.  You I suppose."

 

"Me?!" Chole said in a surprised tone, her cheeks began to turn a little red.

 

"Yeah, most of the time they're either about you or me.  Sometimes there would be blurred out images of people and voices of others that I have never heard of."

 

"Wow, I-I really have no idea what I should think of it.  I really don't know what I should say back; but if it makes you feel any better, I'll be here if you need to talk to someone."

 

"Thanks Chole, you really are a good friend," I picked her up and gave her a little hug.

 

We sat down on two chairs and watched the black sea, the only source of light was the moon that made a sort of silver blade that always pointed towards us.  It was about twenty minutes when I finally break the silence.

 

"So, is this what you expected to see at night?"  I ask Chole.

 

"mmmmmm," Chole responded in a sleepy tone.

 

"Reminds me of that screensaver I once had on my computer at home."

 

"hmmmm."

 

"What do you thin...." I turn my head to Chole to find her asleep on my lap.

 

I picked her up and started to head back to the room.  When we got back inside the room she started to glow, thankfully she changed back into her original form once we were hidden from view.  I gently put her back onto her bed and laid down next to Buddy and fell asleep. 

 

From the beginning of my journey to right now, I finally got to sleep peacefully for the night.

 

Oh no, another dream.

 

 

 

 

Just Kidding

 

"Hello?  Come on you baby wake up already!"  Chole yelled into my ear.

 

"mmmmm five more minutes," I shooed off the disturbance.

 

"Well, you force me to do this," Chole raised her fist as it began to glow, she than slammed her fist right into my stomach.

 

"OOOOOOHHHHGOOOODDAAAMMMMIIITTTT!!!" I yelled out loud, it felt like I was going to pass out.

 

"Oh good, you're awake," Chole peacefully floated away.

 

"What the fuck was that?"

 

"My Mega Punch ability, you really didn't think I only knew Transform did you?"

 

"Well I can see that now," I said while rubbing my stomach. 

 

"You do realize you have plans with your friend in less than an hour and we are also going to be in Dewford Town pretty soon.

 

".....shit," I sped off into the bathroom to get ready for the day.  Half an hour later, I come out.

 

"All ready, let's get going now."

 

I put Treeco and Zigzagoon back into their Pokeballs, Chole then changes back into a Charmander, and finally, we are out the door.

 

We go have a quick breakfast to start off the day and start to head over to the Training Grounds. 

"About damn time, I was about to look for you," John says as I enter the room.

 

"If you did, you would probably give up as soon as you saw the buffet."

 

Chole started to laugh.

 

"Yeah whatever, lets have a battle before we get to the gym, it'll be good practice."

 

"Good idea, I'll get ready."

 

"So, how many Pokemon do you have?"  John says from his side of the battleground.

 

"Three."

 

"Three?  But what about that Charmander there?"

 

I look at Chole, "she doesn't fight, I haven't gotten a chance to train with her yet."

 

"Well, good luck, it'll be a lot harder to win without a fire Pokemon."

 

"I'll take my chances."

 

"Cool, lets start," John throws a Pokeball and out comes Wrumple.

 

I then throw my Pokeball and out come Zigzagoon. 

 

Zigzagoon brushes off the dirt from his fur and starts to look around.

 

"Zigzagoon stop slacking you're about to fight," I yell to Zigzagoon.

 

Zigzagoon quickly gets into his battle stance.

 

"Zigzagoon, use Sand Attack!"

 

Zigzagoon turned around and began to fling dirt,

 

"Wrumple, use Poison Sting!"

 

Wrumple lowered its head and shot out a needle toward Zigzagoon.  Zigzagoon unfortunately, got stung and was badly poisoned.  Although, Wrumple still got shot in the eyes with sand and was completely blind. 

 

"Zigzagoon, time to put my little trick to the test."

 

Zigzagoon lifted his tail and shook his tail until a Pecha Berry fell off; Zigzagoon quickly gobbled the berry up. 

 

"Zagoon!"  Zigzagoon gave a sly smile at Wrumple even though it couldn't see and was still attempting to get the sand out of its eyes.

 

"Zigzagoon, lets play in the dirt shall we?"

 

Zigzagoon flopped down onto the ground and started to roll around in the dirt; just as planned, his spiky fur was strong enough to fling dirt all over the place, causing a giant dust cloud to cover the whole battlefield.

 

"Zigzagoon, are you ready?"

 

"Zagoon!"

 

"Wrumple, spin and use string shot!"

 

Although Wrumple was blind, it knew how to spin; it began to twirl around and around, shooting sticky string all over the place.

 

The dust cloud began to fade away, I could now see the battleground a little better now, Zigzagoon was about five feet from Wrumple, the problem was that he was stuck in Wrumple's sticky web.

 

"Wrumple, use Tackle," John quickly commanded Wrumple.

 

Wrumple quickly flung itself at Zigzagoon with great velocity.

 

"Zigzagoon, I know you may hate the taste, but start eating that web."

 

Zigzagoon started to groan but obeyed my orders; he started to take big mouthfuls of web that was holding him in place.  Feeling sick, Zigzagoon took another mouthful of sticky web and also a face full of Wrumple.  Wrumple slammed into Zigzagoon with great force, enough force to actually break Zigzagoon free of his sticky prison.

 

Zigzagoon flew in the air but managed to land on his feet when he made contact with the ground. 

 

"Good job Zigzagoon, now, use Tackle!"

 

"Zagoon," Zigzagoon then sped off towards Wrumple.

 

"Use String Shot!"  John commanded.

 

Wrumple then shot some more string at Zigzagoon.

 

"To the left," Zigzagoon quickly strafed to the left and continued his charge.

 

"Again!"  Wrumple shot again.

 

"To the right!"  Zigzagoon then strafed to the right.

 

"Shit, dodge it!"

 

Wrumple attempted to dodge Zigzagoon but was met head on with what felt like a wall with fur.

 

Wrumple flew and landed only a few feet away from John. 

 

"I think that's a win," John said as he brought back his Wrumple to its Pokeball.

 

Zigzagoon walked over to me for a prize, I took out a can of treats to give him one but Zigzagoon had other ideas.  In a split second, Zigzagoon swallowed the can whole.

 

"Damn you Zigzagoon, I'll become bankrupt because of your stomach."

 

Zigzagoon chuckled as he chewed the can, metal and all.  I then placed him over to my side so he could watch the rest of the battle.

 

"Alright Garrett, the score is 0-1, don't expect to get another one," John then threw his second Pokeball and out came Sunshine.

 

I then threw my Pokeball and out came Treeco.  Treeco started to stretch from his nap, he then took a good look at his opponent and froze.

 

"Ok Treeco, don't hold back," I told him.

 

Treeco turned towards me and shook his head.

 

"What?  What do you mean no?"

 

Treeco pointed to Sunshine, "Treeco, Treeco Tree."

 

"John time-out, give me a minute!" I yell to John

 

"Hurry up dammit!"  John yells back

 

"Chole come with me."

 

"Ok."

 

We all go out in the hallway.

 

Alright Treeco what's on your mind?

 

"Tree, Treeco Tree, Treeco Treeco."

 

"Translation please," I turn to Chole.

 

"He says uhhh...he doesn't want to fight her."

 

"What!  Why don't you want to fight that Chikorita?"

 

"Treeco, Tree Treeco Tree, Treeco.  Treeco Tree, Treeco."

 

I turn my head to Chole.

 

"When I was at the park, I helped save that Chikorita from a Mankey.  I'm not going to just attack her after what I did yesterday."

 

"Fine, but you owe me Treeco."

 

We all then go back to the battleground.

 

"Ready?"  John asks.

 

"Treeco doesn't want to fight Sunshine; I'll give you this win."

 

"HA, well that was easy," John then brings Sunshine back into her Pokeball.

 

"The score is 1-1 now, whoever wins this next fight wins it all," I say as I pet Buddy's head.

 

"Which will be me," John tells me.

 

John then throws his last Pokeball into the air and out comes a Dustox

 

"Shit, is that your first Wrumple?"  I ask John.

 

"Yep, he evolved pretty damn fast."

 

"Yeah I can see that.  Alright Buddy, are you ready?"

 

"Eevee!" 

 

"That's what I like to hear.  Now go get him!"

 

In a split second, Buddy disappears, reappearing in random places.

 

"Dustox, Light Screen!"

 

All of a sudden, a yellow cube surrounds Dustox.  Buddy then appears right behind Dustox and slams right into him.  Dustox does a flip because of the impact but it seemed as though he took no damage. 

 

"Dustox, use Hidden Power!"

 

Yellow balls started to form around Dustox; the balls were quick, but Buddy was faster.  As soon as Buddy landed and turned his head to Dustox, the balls exploded right near Buddy.

 

"Oh shit!  Buddy!!"  I yelled.

 

As the dust finally cleared, I noticed the giant hole in the middle of the battleground, but no Buddy.  I looked around until I saw Buddy, he was behind Dustox.  Buddy must have used Quick Attack before he was hit and reappeared behind him while the dust flew all around.

 

"Dustox, hurry and use Hidden Power again."

 

"Buddy, do a flurry of Quick Attacks!"

 

Buddy was then disappearing and reappearing to not only dodge the deadly balls, but to also get some serious damage.

 

"Buddy, throw a Shadow Ball in the air!"

 

Buddy then reappeared about 15 feet from Dustox, he charged a Shadow Ball and then let it loose right above him.

 

"Hit that bitch!"

 

Buddy then disappeared and reappeared next to the Shadow Ball.  Using his tail, Buddy redirected the ball straight towards Dustox.  Dustox had another Hidden Power ball left; he flung it right at the Shadow Ball.  It managed to slow it down but was no match for Buddy's final blow. 

 

The Shadow Ball hit Dustox head on and slammed the moth right into the ground. 

 

As the dust cleared, Dustox laid right in the middle of the blast, Dustox was still alive but just twitching all over the place.

 

"Holy shit!  I have never seen a combo like that from an Eevee," John says as he brings back his Dustox to the Pokeball.

 

"Eevee!" Buddy said, making a face that said "ha ha I beat you."

 

"Oh come on Buddy, you almost lost if it wasn't for your Quick Attack, be a good sport."  I tell Buddy.

 

Buddy walks over to John and licks his hand then runs back to me.  I give him a treat and walk over to John.

 

"Good battle dude," he tells me.

 

"Same here," I respond back.

 

A second later, we hear the anchor drop down.

 

"Hmm, looks like we're here," I say.

 

"About time, let's hurry and get our shit before a mob is created," John says.

 

"Alright, let's meet at the Pokemon Center," I run towards the door.

 

"You got it."

 

We both then go opposite ways to get our things, hopefully to meet at the Pokemon Center, and to head to our second gym battle.
