#1 of Hound's Poetry Corner

This is a poem I came across while thumbing through an old spiral of mine. I don't recall when I wrote it, or what was going through my head at the time, but something struck me when I reread it. Enjoy.Note If anyone has any thoughts about what it says to them, please share.

Loosen the belt on your tendons;

retract them until they get stuck.

Never let the bastards win.

Never let them give a fuck.

The battle is in your head.

Can you make sense of it?

Has your sight fled?

Tell me you'll never quit!

Build it all above the air;

let it tumble, let it quake.

Show the enemy you don't care.

Let them know what's at stake.

Do you pick it apart?

Can you beat my record?

Play like you're smart;

show me what you learned!
