Weeks, months and finally years,
Till the day, by chance, an angel appears.

Eyes stuck on the hues of gold and silver,
Blue met brown with an excited shiver.

Soon, together they met in darkened corners,
With secret questions and hidden answers.

His curse she did know and did believe,
He was happy but in the end naive.

A demon of sorts was teaching him tricks,
The green skinned child of the goddess Nyx.

Offered the boy, the green man did one day,
To see into the future with no price to pay.

Greedily he agreed, a foolish child still,
Soon visions of death rendered him ill.

In a heap he fell in pain and tears
His angel would die, fulfilling his fears.

He begged and pleased to change this fact,
A deal was struck, an unholy pact.

Quick he must act with unbearable pain to cause,
But to save her life he had to do so without pause.

Together they stood in the darkened place,
Her Lord's eyes looked down with a saddened face.

A mask put on as he cast her away,
With a broken heart, she begged to stay.

His resolve almost failed at her tearful face,
But he told her again to leave this place.

With a final embrace and a broken heart,
With quickened feet and tearful eyes, she did depart.

Shattered and lost he fell to the ground,
Howling a lost, jagged, painful sound.

Years had passed after that horrid night,
Her life was her own and looking bright.

But bound to the keeper he had to be,
So the angel of his heart could fly free.

To this day the man born from shadows watches her close,
As the angel with brown eyes fights to overcome her woes

"}
