\u0026nbsp;A young white feline quickly opened a door, letting in a lot of sunlight into the darken area.\u0026nbsp; He walked inside and closed the door behind him.\u0026nbsp; In the dark, he walked to a large box with multiple switches and turned on a spotlight.\u0026nbsp; He spotted a folding chair and grabbed it with his free hand, holding a case in his other.\u0026nbsp; He walked up the small pair of steps and into the light, holding that folding chair and a case.\u0026nbsp; He gently placed the case onto the wooden floor and unfolded the chair.\u0026nbsp; He sat down on it and sighed deeply.\u0026nbsp; This cat's fur was short and wavy.\u0026nbsp; His left arm and right ear were all black, same goes to his whiskers and the frizzy tip to his thick white tail.\u0026nbsp; His claws were black as well, but they were almost retractable, only the sharp points of each claw were visible.\u0026nbsp; His short black hair was left in a untidy, wild hairstyle.\u0026nbsp; His eyes were silver with white round pupils.\u0026nbsp; He had on a buttoned t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers with fingerless gloves.\u0026nbsp; \"What song should I play today\", he asked himself.\u0026nbsp; He gasped then said with a smile, \"Got it...\u0026nbsp; Canon in D minor!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;The feline grabbed his case and placed it on his lap.\u0026nbsp; He unlocked it and flipped the cover open.\u0026nbsp; Inside that case was a violin, in a glossy cherry red color.\u0026nbsp; He took it out and examined it with a smile.\u0026nbsp; On the back of the instrument had the initial \"Chai Raleigh\" in French Script font.\u0026nbsp; The bow that came with it had \"C.R.\" on the handle.\u0026nbsp; He placed the case gently onto the floor and got into position with his instrument.\u0026nbsp; After he gently tapped the strings four times with his bow, he began to play it with eyes closed.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Minutes of playing the chosen song later, he finished it and sighed deeply.\u0026nbsp; His ears flicked and his eyes opened, hearing someone clapping in the distance.\u0026nbsp; He looked down and saw a bilby giving him an applause while sitting in a chair in the front row.\u0026nbsp; It had on a tank top and loose jeans with sandals on its feet and a short, clean cut hairstyle.\u0026nbsp; The feline tilted his head, but then he straightened it and smiled.\u0026nbsp; \"Hello there, Jazmine\", he said.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Hi to you too, Chai\", Jazmine said in a feminine tone.  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai placed his violin and bow back in its case and locked it.\u0026nbsp; \"May I ask how long you were sitting there?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Long enough to listen to most of it.\u0026nbsp; Are you absolutely sure you don't wanna join our band?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"I'm sure, Jaz.\u0026nbsp; I'm really sure.\"\u0026nbsp; He stood up and folded the chair back.\u0026nbsp; \"There's no way I could join, anyway.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Jaz crossed her arms.\u0026nbsp; \"Because you play like... a hundred times better than the entire band, maybe?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai chuckled.\u0026nbsp; \"No no.\u0026nbsp; I wouldn't say that about your band.\"\u0026nbsp; He walked out the spotlight and put the chair back, then walked back into and grabbed his violin's case.\u0026nbsp; \"I'm only twelve, Jaz, still in elementary.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Jaz smacked her head.\u0026nbsp; \"Duh!\u0026nbsp; I forgot...\u0026nbsp; Not in high school yet...\u0026nbsp; Anyways, our band sucks... filled with nerds and geeks that don't know how to play their instruments...\"\u0026nbsp; She paused.\u0026nbsp; \"Hey, mind if I come up there with you?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Oh, sure you can!\u0026nbsp; I... don't mind if you do.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Jaz stood up and walked towards the stage.\u0026nbsp; She jumped and sat on the edge of it, looking out at the empty row of seats barely seen in the dark.\u0026nbsp; Chai walked next to her and sat down on the edge of the stage, placing his violin behind him.\u0026nbsp; Jaz called the feline's name and he looked at her.\u0026nbsp; \"You know, you come here every single day with different instruments, but you like to play that violin the most.\"  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Yeah!\u0026nbsp; It's a gift from my mother.\u0026nbsp; Of course I'll play it the most every day!\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"You told me a couple months ago.\u0026nbsp; I still remember how excited you were when you got it...\u0026nbsp; But you know what I was wondering?\u0026nbsp; Why are you here in high school playing instead of your own school?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai paused for a while and looked away.\u0026nbsp; \"Your school's auditorium's bigger...\"\u0026nbsp; Jaz just laughed out loud and Chai blushed.\u0026nbsp; His blush went away and he looked at the bilby.\u0026nbsp; \"By the way, if you don't mind me asking, why are you here?\u0026nbsp; I know you don't have any weekend activities and all.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Jaz blinked.\u0026nbsp; \"Oh... well, not only I wanna hear you play but... I've been hearing some rumors about you.\u0026nbsp; I just wanna confirm this.\"\u0026nbsp; She paused.\u0026nbsp; \"Do you... have a crush on me?\"\u0026nbsp; Chai blushed again and stuttered misunderstood words for a while.\u0026nbsp; He paused, taking a deep breath.\u0026nbsp; \"You don't have to say anything\", Jaz said while chuckling.\u0026nbsp; \"That reaction says it all.\u0026nbsp; What I don't understand is why.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"I...\u0026nbsp; The thing is I have this... thing for tomboys.\u0026nbsp; I don't know why I do, I just happen to like them.\u0026nbsp; But out of all the ones I've met, I developed a crush on you.\u0026nbsp; I mean... you're very tough and pretty all at once and... yeah...\"  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Jaz's eyes were open widely and mouth slightly gaped.\u0026nbsp; She blushed lightly while asking the feline, \"You...really think that about me?\"\u0026nbsp; Chai nodded and smiled nervously.\u0026nbsp; \"How long have you had these feelings for me...?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"For almost a year now.\u0026nbsp; I didn't tell you because I assumed you were few years older than me and...\"\u0026nbsp; He stopped from hearing Jaz chuckling.\u0026nbsp; \"Did I say something wrong?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Jaz stopped chuckling and rubbed her nose.\u0026nbsp; \"I can't believe you have a crush on me.\u0026nbsp; It's just surprising for someone like you!\"\u0026nbsp; Chai tilted his head.\u0026nbsp; \"I was expecting you to like... I dunno, cheerleaders or a girl that's good at physics or chemistry or...something.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai shook his head.\u0026nbsp; \"They're okay as friends, but... like I said, I developed a liking for tomboys and... well...\u0026nbsp; I'm...\u0026nbsp; I apologize.\u0026nbsp; I hope I didn't make this conversation awkward for you...\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"No, it's fine, Chai.\u0026nbsp; I was just wondering.\"\u0026nbsp; She paused and smiled.\u0026nbsp; \"By the way, I'm only fourteen and a freshman, believe it or not.\u0026nbsp; We're not really too far apart, so no need to feel awkward about it.\u0026nbsp; Now that I know how you feel...\"\u0026nbsp; Jaz placed her hand on top of Chai's.\u0026nbsp; The bilby blushed herself and continued, \"...I... had a bit of something for you, too... for a couple months.\u0026nbsp; You are the most polite and mature boy I've ever seen.\u0026nbsp; Plus you stand up to bullies that were twice your size and easily defend yourself.\u0026nbsp; And the fact you have the ability to put our school band to shame?\u0026nbsp; I find that very impressive about you, Chai.\"  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai blushed even more, entire face, almost turning red.\u0026nbsp; \"Oh...I...\u0026nbsp; Thank you for...the compliment...\u0026nbsp; I appreciate it.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"No, Chai.\u0026nbsp; Thank you...\"\u0026nbsp; The two stared at each other for a good while, smiling and staring into each others eyes.\u0026nbsp; But Jaz broke the silence by asking, \"Hey, you busy this weekend?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai shook his head.\u0026nbsp; \"No, why you ask?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Jaz reached into her pocket and pulled out a small index card.\u0026nbsp; She handed him that card and Chai stared at it.\u0026nbsp; While he was reading the card, Jaz continued by saying, \" Tomorrow, I'm hosting a party at my house by invitation only and I was wondering if you wanna come.\u0026nbsp; My dad, the mayor, is chaperoning so no need to worry about the party getting out of hand.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Interesting!\"\u0026nbsp; Chai look on the back of the card and saw the date and time, also the number to call for RSVP.\u0026nbsp; \"I would love to go!\u0026nbsp; What are you doing there at your party?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Oh, just kids stuff.\u0026nbsp; You know, the movies, video games... Truth or Dare, and... I need a sparring partner, hoping you can be my partner.\"  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai blinked and looked at Jaz.\u0026nbsp; \"I'm sorry, what was that?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"I've noticed how excellent you were with your kicks.\u0026nbsp; I mean you DID beat the living hell out of three bullies at the same time and... I wanna know if my kickboxing can take on your fighting style.\u0026nbsp; Nothing extreme or anything.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai arched a brow.\u0026nbsp; \"This is in front of everyone?\"\u0026nbsp; Jaz chuckled and nodded.\u0026nbsp; \"How innovative\", the feline said with a grin.\u0026nbsp; \"Sure, I'll come to your party!\u0026nbsp; I don't think my parents would mind.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Good... then it's settled.\"\u0026nbsp; Jaz leaned towards Chai and gave him a tender kiss across his lips.\u0026nbsp; Chai froze in place with eyes widened.\u0026nbsp; Then she whispered in his ear, \"I'll see you then...\"\u0026nbsp; She jumped off the stage and walked out the auditorium with hands in her jean's pockets.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai regained motion in his body once he fell backwards, back impacting the floor of the stage and letting out a brief groan.\u0026nbsp; But he laid there in the spotlight, giving a big smile with eyes closed.\u0026nbsp; He held the invite close to his chest and sighed happily.\u0026nbsp; _A party Jaz is hosting_, he thought.\u0026nbsp; _I will NOT miss this for the world...!_  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;--  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai was resting on his full sized bed, holding the same invitation card close to his chest.\u0026nbsp; He changed into his cyan colored two piece pajama set, but he left the shirt unbuttoned and open.\u0026nbsp; His eyes were closed while he sighed deeply with a big smile on his face.\u0026nbsp; Chai's ear flicked from hearing a knock on his door, but his eyes were still closed.\u0026nbsp; He heard a deep masculine voice coming from the other side of the door calling his name.\u0026nbsp; \"Come in\", Chai sighed.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;A tan colored cougar opened the door and walked into the room.\u0026nbsp; He was going shirtless, only wearing a pair of slacks and slippers.\u0026nbsp; His hazel eyes looked over at the young feline clenching a small card to his body on his own bed.\u0026nbsp; His arched his brow and asked, \"What... are you doing, son?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Nothing, father\", Chai replied, still having his eyes closed.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;The cougar crossed his arms.\u0026nbsp; \"Well, having an index card close to your chest like that sure doesn't look like nothing to me...\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai opened his eyes and sat up on his bed.\u0026nbsp; He looked at the adult cougar with the same smile on his face, holding the card in both hands which were on his lap.\u0026nbsp; \"You know Jaz, Father?\"  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Chai got off the bed and stood in front of him, hands grasping the piece of paper and held it to his his chest again.\u0026nbsp; \"Please, Father?\u0026nbsp; I promise that I won't do anything bad, indecent, or anything shameful!\u0026nbsp; Please?\"  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;The cougar still had the same grin on his face.\u0026nbsp; He reached his hand out and gently placed it on Chai's head.\u0026nbsp; Chai stood there with his eyes closed while the cougar rubbed his head gently, smiling and purring softly.\u0026nbsp; \"You're a good kid, Chai\", said the cougar.\u0026nbsp; \"And I trust you fully, so there's no way I could never say 'No' to something like that!\"\u0026nbsp; He bent down to Chai's height and took his hand off his head.\u0026nbsp; Chai stopped purring and opened his eyes.\u0026nbsp; His smile went away from seeing the adult feline lost his grin.\u0026nbsp; \"What you have to get permission from...is your mother.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Chai sighed sadly and looked down.\u0026nbsp; \"Yeah, I understand...\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;The cougar placed a finger under Chai's chin and gently lifted his head until they had eye contact.\u0026nbsp; \"Don't be like that, son\", he said.\u0026nbsp; \"I'm sure she'll let you go.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Go where?\"\u0026nbsp; Chai and his father's ears went up.\u0026nbsp; Chai looked over to his right while the adult feline stood up and looked to his left.\u0026nbsp; They noticed a female cat in sleepwear.\u0026nbsp; She had white wavy fur with a thick tail, just like Chai's, but without the frizzy black tip.\u0026nbsp; Her right ear and left arm were black, same goes to her long whiskers and her short and wavy hair.\u0026nbsp; She looked at both the male felines with her sparkling and bright red eyes, asking, \"What are you two talking about?\"\u0026nbsp; He looked at the cougar.\u0026nbsp; \"Aero?\"  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Aero smiled and walked to the feline.\u0026nbsp; \"Ruby, baby!\"\u0026nbsp; Aero tenderly kissed Ruby on her forehead and threw his arm over her shoulder.\u0026nbsp; \"It seems our son here likes a girl that likes her back.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Ruby arched her brow.\u0026nbsp; \"Really?\u0026nbsp; Out of all the girls in this town, who is the lucky one?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Aero grinned.\u0026nbsp; \"Jazmine.\"\u0026nbsp; Chai gave a nervous smile and blushed after Aero's response, still holding the invitation close to his chest.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Ruby blinked a couple times at Chai, then looked back at Aero.\u0026nbsp;
