# I'm Home (old poem from 6 years ago)

I'm Home

 

Running, feeling the wind in my fur  
I look back and see the life I left behind  
A life I wasn't happy in, hiding behind  
a veil of normalcy.  
  
I turn back, and start running again,  
feeling the earth under my paws with  
each step I take I'm closer to the  
light I see in front of me.  
  
In the light, I see friends, like me  
foxes, racoons, rabbits, and other wolves.  
I let out a howl and run to them  
seeing some with open arms.  
  
I run up to one of the wolves  
one with blue fur and nuzzle him,  
recognizing him him as a brother  
maybe from a long time ago.  
  
I walk around the clearing  
nuzzling my friends and family  
realizing my dream has come true,  
that I'm Home.
