As he left and got into his car, he recieved something that wasn't quite as pleasant as sweet escape.\nA text message from his girlfriend Jade.\nAustin and a cheerleader named Jade had been going out for 2 monthes now. Austin obviously cared about the woman but showed no attraction in her what so ever nowadays. She was dull, boring and very ignorant, Austin tried talking to her about his problems with his family but all she said was \"Uh-huh, Just be happy.\"\nLike that piece of advice has ever helped anybody, obviously the person with the problem is trying to be happy, but can't. So saying \"Be Happy\" to someone facing an endeavor is just a dumb idea from the start.\nAustin opened his phone and read the message.\n\"Hey baby, you gonna pick me up and take me a fancy dinner tonight?\"\nHe never recalled planning anything like that with her tonight. It was friday night and he had already made plans with his friends to go see a movie.\nHe typed away on his keypad:\n\"I thought you said you had to vist your aunt tonight.\"\n \nJade: Well I can't go, the car broke down.\nAustin: I'm sorry but I already have plans tonight.\nJade: Uck, what kind of boyfriend are you?\nAustin: I'm sorry!!!\nJade: At least come to help repair the car.\nAustin: Fine, I'll be there in 10 minutes.\nJade: K bye.\nAustin closed his phone and rested his head on his hands, not looking forward to task ahead. He knew if he broke up with Jade, she would probably spread some bogus rumor and make him look bad, plus, without a girlfriend, he would be the only single guy on the football team.\nAustin cared deeply about his reputation but at the same time despised it, because he was so popular, he feared what others would think when they find out he's been attracted to men for almost a few monthes now. He could be disowned by everyone he knows and loves, including his own family.\nAs he rested his head on the steering wheel, he thought about the accident he had with Jake earlier. Seeing the way he was afraid of his friends, Austin worried for him and thought it would be a good deed if he was to protect Jake and become friends with him.\n \nAs his thoughts rolled on, he looked at the time and saw a few minutes have already passed. He started the car and drove out to Jade's house.\n-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\"About time you got here.\" Jade said with attitude.\nAustin slammed his car door. \"Well I'm sorry if there is traffic getting out of the school parking lot.\"\n\"Just shut up and kiss me.\" She said, forcing a kiss on his lips.\nAs much as Austin wanted to bite her lip and drive away, his lower state of mind kicked in, preventing him from doing anything to ruin his reputation.\nAs he was looking at the engine of the car, Jade just kept making comments and demands such as \"Take your shirt off\" and \"You look very nice bent over.\"\nAs Austin's head was rattling, Jade just made his job harder by the minute.\nShe wouldn't stop spanking his butt, looking over and asking \"Whatcha doing?\" when he was trying to see the problem.\nWhen he found that the belts in the engine were torn, Austin replaced them with the spare ones in the garage.\nFull of sweat, the handyman was ready to take a nap.\n \nBefore he could get to his car, Jade stepped in front of him and started kissing him once again. Austin hoped that this would be over if he gave in for a while but unfortunately, what seemed like minutes felt like hours.\nWhen Jade was finished, she walked away without even saying thank you.\n------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\nAfter a long drive back from the movies, Austin stopped his car in an old parking lot and began to think.\n\"Is all of this pain really worth my damn ego!\" He shouted, pounding the steering wheel with his fists.\nHis head pounded and pounded with the unforgettable grimness, selfishness and horrible image of Jade. He wanted freedom but a great cost was on the line.\nBefore Austin could resume recollecting the nightmare day he went through. He remembered a slight thought in his head, it was Jade's birthday tomorrow. While he groaned about how horrible the next day could possibly be, he thought he should at least get her a birthday present to be nice.\n \nConvienantly, there was a music store and he remembered Jade rambling about needing bass strings a few weeks ago. As he walked over, he saw a familiar face in there.\nJake Henry.\n","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/332279-7-months-of-rain-ch-6.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/343199-7-months-of-rain-ch-8.json"}
