#11 of Poetry

Critical thinking about human use and connotation of words themselves. Wrote it in (not for) English class junior year.

_Words_

What are words
Written across the page?
What emotions
Are written into these words?
Why now
At this moment in time
Do we choose to write?
What inspires?
What makes us know
See, feel, understand,
To write words?

Words
Must they be written
To hold their power?
Their awe, splendor, degree
Of command.
The beholder

Leader in command
The word.
The physical form of emotions
The epitomy of communication
The form of understanding
Speech the invisible word
Word the soundless idea.
