#22 of Poetry

A poem I wrote while thinking about some of the physical abuse in my past, and how meaningless it all is; how destructive violence to the abused and the abuser.

_Violence_

Senseless purging of the heart
Ceaseless anger from which it starts
There is nothing but pain
Reason and love shall part

Virtues and morals are slain
Not a value to gain
Now nothing is the same
Reality that misery will drain

Many reasons to blame
Since violence has came
There is nothing to show
Of the wounds ill-fame

No reasons to know
Control yet to sew
Temptation so tart
So broken, you go.
