#23 of Poetry

Somewhat self-explanatory. I wrote this in anticipation to becoming a senior, when I would become an adult and get ready to leave my childhood behind and embrace new responsibilities as an adult.

_Fear_

Fear
Lives within each of us
Waiting to come
And control

To sabotage
Instill Darkness
Light
Life
and Death

Fear
Is all around you
In your dreams
Your vision
Your world

It is inescapable
Uncontrollable
Undesirable
Invisible
And complex

Fear
Washes away sanity
Grants purity
Destroys validity
And instills bravery

To be fearless
Impossible
To deny it
Unforgiveable
But to conquer it
Favorable

Fear
The thing itself
Is itself
Invigorates
Strengthens itself
Reveals
And weakens itself

The climax of emotion
Course of action
A calling
Fight
Or flight

Fear
Its cloak
Wrapped around us all
No escape
But salvation
From Fear.
