#47 of Poetry

Getting close to Valentine's Day/Single Awareness Day, I decided to write a poem about love (cliche I know). I wasn't sure how to go about it, and then we were given an assignment in Spanish class to write a Valentine's Day card that needed to have at least some certain provided phrases, and then I took it a step further and made it into a poem. I felt I needed another poem in Spanish anyways, so enjoy!

_El Corazón de_ Amor

Que sensación especial
De amorcito mío
El amor es la sensación
Sentido en el corazón

La luz de mi vida
Es mi amor
El amor es así torcido
Yo espero tú quieres se mío

--Estoy loco por tí--
Tal que la cordura se require
El amor se controla
Contiene mi corazón

Deja que este amor mío
Sea mío.

_Love's Heart_
(Translation of _El Corazón de Amor_)

That special feeling
Of my specil love
Love is a feeling
Felt in the heart

The light of my life
Is my love
Love is so twisted
I hope you'll be mine

"I'm crazy about you"
Such that sanity if required
Love is controlling
Holding my heart

Let this love of mine
Be mine.
