{"sf1_id":345248,"sf2_id":"AnKRKaom","title":"What is Hell","author":"Aquilla Whitegate","words":244,"posted_at":"2012-02-23T11:44:00.000Z","tags":["Dark","Hell","Poem","literature","mind","society"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/345248-what-is-hell","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/AnKRKaom","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/08/01/0801e936-18ba-453a-a2f1-a415145b65c2","description":"A poem I made to talk abut the harsh existence of reality and how we struggles in it.\nHope you all like","content":"_I_s this what hell feels like?\u0026nbsp;  \nBound like chains by the very earth itself.  \nTo burn in a way as if in every desert at once.  \nBut with no sun,\u0026nbsp;  \nThat with no amount of water,  \nCould quench the thirst,  \nWith no escape,\u0026nbsp;  \nWith no sense of hope,  \nAn always lingering doom,  \nA shadow that can never be escaped from.  \nAs if from now into eternity,  \nAnd still this is only the beginning.\u0026nbsp;  \nThe tip of the iceberg.  \n  \n_I_s this what hell is?  \nThe deeper it goes the darker it gets,  \nA constant spiral and going nowhere fast,  \nWhere the constant screams never leave,  \nAnd never end,  \nWhere the sense of time does not exist,  \nBut as if remains frozen,  \nIn an ever present constant,\u0026nbsp;  \nLocked in an inevitable, cycle of destruction.  \nWhich keeps repeating,\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;  \nThat does not stop burning,\u0026nbsp;  \nDoes not change,\u0026nbsp;  \nInstead only goes in deeper.  \n  \n_I_s his where hell is?  \nWhere the bullet tears a hole,  \nAnd thousands pierce the heart at one time.\u0026nbsp;  \nWhere a person cannot stand, and not be watched.  \nWhere evil and corruption is everywhere,  \nAnd everyone is all consumed by it.  \nTheir is no running from it,\u0026nbsp;  \nTheir is no escape,  \nNo end to the pain the soul hath to endure.\u0026nbsp;  \nNo comfort from the whipping and gnashing of teeth.\u0026nbsp;  \nIn this human existence we live-  \nIs this what hell truly is, or is this only purgatory.  \nWhere true hell is, or is it even known?\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
