He rolled over and gasped pain lancing up his side. His ribs and bullet-holes hadn't healed. Especially not in just two days. Sain kissed his cheek, lying beside him.\n\n\"You awake finally?\"\n\nAlyx smiled and murred softly.\n\n\"Yeah.\"\n\nThey kissed softly before Sain pulled back,\n\n\"So what now? We apparently have to shift somehow. Changing our names won't be enough you know. Unless we get out of the country\"\n\nAlyx nodded,\n\n\"I know.\" He grimaced, \"We'll think of something. But first let's rest and let our bodies heal.\"\n\nSain smiled softly as he wrapped his wings around her.\n\n\"Speaking of our bodies. How do you feel Sain?\"\n\nSain glanced up at him,\n\n\"What'd you mean? I feel fine.\"\n\nAlyx placed his hands over her abdomen gently,\n\n\"No, this is what I mean.\"\n\nSain looked away,\n\n\"Shit, happens. I didn't want a kid anyway.\" She blinked back tears, as Alyx gently kissed her churring gently in her ear.\n\n\"Liar. Denial doesn't make anything better.\" Alyx sighed softly and pulled Sain closer, \"Is the price worth being rid of the GC's and everything else though?\"\n\nSain whimpered softly,\n\n\"Yes. No... I don't know...\" She pressed her face to his shoulder, \"I was gravid. We had\u0026nbsp; an egg... And they shot it... Unknowingly or not...\"\n\nAlyx didn't say anything he just closed his eyes.\n\nThey stayed that way for a little bit before Alyx kissed Sain's forehead gently,\n\n\"At least we still have each other.
