#5 of Poems and Such

A poem done by me

She had turned and walked away, left with remorse in her heart
She had waited for me but no longer
She once asked me if I loved her and silence was my reply
Knowing I may die alone never seemed to bother me
Until the day I realized I was alone on the inside
She offered me what I could never find from another and I let her go
I pondered the meaning of love and what it meant to me
But I didn't know what it meant to her
Many a night I would whisper her name to the wind
This feeling of sadness hindering my every thought as I live my life
Could I ever be the person she wanted me to be?
I would ask myself this every time her name crossed my mind
Marissa, I am still here waiting for you
Alone and broken, I wish I could tell you what you wanted to hear
If I could have one more chance to tell you how I feel
Just one chance, that moment I would die for
To hold you once more and whisper in your ear
I love you
