#8 of Poems and Such

A little something I wrote for my father.

Slowly I lowered my head and knew he was gone
My heart heavy with sorrow and confusion
The world seemed a colder place now more than ever
At that moment nothing else mattered
Shaken and numb I broke down in tears
No more would I hear his voice, his laughter
These tears I cry, a burden he never meant
His flag I carry in honor and remember who he once was
A soldier, a brother, a husband but most of all a father
Ha'ko ies v'a ia so. A'yi so li'ah esh Dine' n'ako
I'll miss you, Always
