#10 of Poems and Such

A poem/song I did while goofing off on my computer. Which is a lot.

Softly I spoke the words she would never hear, I knew it was too late
So I've gone and carried on such is the cruel hand of fate
I only pretended to act strong and held my head high
And never knew she had already said goodbye
So is the reason I cry

Where have I gone? What have I done? To make you want to say goodbye
Know that I lose myself every time you're on my mind
No matter how far I've gone know that I could never find another you
Here in this lonesome place your name rings true
It's in this place that I search for you

So when the day comes when I leave this place
Will you hear me when I say your name?
Or will my words fall on deaf ears again?

By now the roads have grown longer and still I persevere
That faint glimmer of hope signals to me that you are near
With hope in heart I carry on the search for you
What keeps me going is the love I hold true
That love I hold for you

No matter where you've gone, no matter how hard I try
I know it's weighing on your mind
So close yet so far away I continue my search for you
Here in this paralyze what must I do?
Until the journeys end I search for you

So when the day comes when I leave this place
Will you hear me when I say your name?
To ensure me that it's not in vain

And when the darkness covers us at night
I hold your hand and say what is true
The time is now to make things right
I still love you
