#13 of Poems and Such

Another poem turned song. Now why is that I wonder. : p

Do you know I cry out your name every time I'm alone?
And know every day that I miss you so
Every time I see your name set in stone
I break down and try to let go
I'd lie to myself pretend it to be fine
Even though you're gone I can still feel you near
I cry myself to sleep every single night
every moment I still hold dear

With me your memories shall remain
Until I find a way to kill my pain
And in my sorrow I drown once again
I try to forget what I know is true
My world black now that I'm without you

Do you know I die a little more every day?
This feeling like a storm that will never go away
My heart breaking like shattered glass
I lose myself as the feelings come to pass
Why does it hurt so much to grieve?
I'd lie to myself and try to believe
That you're still here and everything is all right
And I'll cry again once more in the night

With me your memories shall remain
Until I find a way to kill my pain
And in my sorrow I drown once again
I try to forget what I know is true
My world black now that I'm without you
