#55 of Poetry

This poem is a creative writing assignment, where we chose 15-20 words from a given poem and created a poem of our own from those words.
Another poem about the chaos in our lives. Enjoy.

_The Sea_

Some things in life aren't clear
We hear the lies and truths
Intertwine into each other
And sometimes,
We cannot tell the illusion
From our reality

What we feel
Is not what always should be felt
We do not understand
What is beyond the light
Or hidden beneath the darkness

We look at death
It glares back and smiles
Knowing it will win
It know that everyone
Will die eventually

Sometimes our state of being is threatened
The music is blinding
The light is deafening
We are lost inside our dreams

In our sleep we lie vulnerable
Exposed to the knife of doubt
Travelling through our minds
We cannot feel the force of madness
Until it is too late

Clarity is such a treasure
Wade through the sea of turmoil
Inside your mind.
