Out on the sea, 

That's where I'll someday be.

But there's a pain in my heart, you see,

That you can't come with me.

 

I'll go east and I'll go west,

Not much any time for rest,

But I know it's all for the best.

Please don't put me through the test

Of leaving you, come the summer Fest.

 

I love you, don't you see?

So please, fill this sailor's heart with glee.

Untill I shall return from the sea,

Wait for me.
