It's loosely based off the perspective of when this bugger ran off from home: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3789796/\nMainly since it's been about 2 years around this time he passed on and also because I haven't posted anything in a while.\nNot one of my better ones, but like I said, the better ones I did were throwaways. Granted, I like to keep poems simple otherwise people miss the main point and people don't like having to over analyze that kind of stuff.","content":"A Nightly Stroll  \n By Kazufox  \n  \n Time after time,  \n Day by day,  \n Sitting at the window looking out in wonder,  \n Only to just gaze upon the outside world,  \n While locked up in a fortress of a shelter.  \n  \n Then one night,  \n My brother said to me,  \n As he picked away at the door handle,  \n \"The door is unlocked!\"  \n \"Hey, why don't we explore?\"  \n  \n I perched myself on top of the open window,  \n Then leapt over into the backyard,  \n It was very wet outside,  \n I got away yet had nowhere to go,  \n My feet were sopping wet with water.  \n  \n I trotted around in the night,  \n Lit up by the outside lights of houses,  \n Being out on my own,  \n It was a nice feeling,  \n A sense of adventure and wonder,  \n  \n I walked around passing home after home,  \n Avoiding the concrete path,  \n As two large glowing eyes like a monster pass by,  \n Besides, the wet grass felt softer  \n Beneath my padded feet.  \n  \n Yet, I felt ill as time passed,  \n Longing to be home,  \n The tasty food, the warm bed,  \n So I hurried my way back,  \n And found myself meowing happily,  \n  \n In my master's loving embrace.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
