# Resurgance of Light

A fitting end, I think. I do believe this is the end to this particular wolf's story, although I plan to write more. I hope you enjoy.

The wolf watched

another tear,

falling from his

muzzle, wondering,

just who would ever

love him, this once

great, now broken,

one.

 

He had spent so long alone,

even surrounded,

so long unhappy,

even smiling,

so long dead,

even breathing...

 

He looked up,

into the blinding light.

"Who's there...?"

he tried to demand,

as he once would,

instead coming out

as a plea.

 

His heart surged

back to life again.

Was this the light,

the one he had sought

for so long...?

The one that...?

 

His mind raced,

terrified and elated.

He felt it all returning,

the company,

that was lost to lonliness,

the smile,

lost to pain,

the breath,

lost to the end...

 

This was it. What he had searched for.

And journeys end in lovers meeting.
