My first poem. Not furry related, sorry.

As I try to pray in bed

And think of what you said

I hear a piercing slam

And your "I don't give a damn!"

 

You say you're at the brink

As you grab another drink

You say to follow His life

And not your road of strife

 

You say this path of pain

Will give us nothing to gain

You cry and scream you're done

As you holster another gun

 

You swear to God you quit

But shout "You're full of shit!"

But I still try to rest

My heart bleeding in my chest

 

I know we are in debt

While you bluff another bet

But we need you to simply break

That bottle you hold and shake

 

No matter what you say

To make me go away

No solution from the skies

Will bring truth to all your lies

 

I beg of you, please

To go upon your knees

Just tell the Lord you know

And end this bloody show

 

I hope you can see

That clearly it is just me

And I will not stand clear

Until you know I'm here
