# Fire: Creation or Destruction

A small poem I wrote a while back just to see if I could. (May edit later)

Fire  
Destruction or Creation?

Fire,  
explosive, engulfing, destructive  
Grows out of control in mere seconds,  
consumes every thing in its path without second thought,  
Destruction?

Even when contained,  
it still ruins.  
The reds, the yellows, the oranges  
blues, greens, whites;  
The dancing of the flames in a light breeze;  
The crackling and sizzling of the fuel;  
The smell of burning;   
All enticing to the senses,  
pulling you and everything in  
Destruction? Maybe!

Fire doesn't destroy,  
it creates, gives life,   
essential heat,  
light, gives way to early warning.  
Destruction? More like Creation!

If put to use correctly,   
fire will produce metals from ore,  
it can clean water by boiling away contaminants  
Clean bacteria from medical supplies  
Destruction? No, Creation!
