It was written for my good friend, Antarian_Knight. That wolf just always seems to teach me something in some way. Other times, he's just a great person to talk to and I'm honored to have such a friend.","content":"Through blood and truth, a fraternity is forged.\n\nA master, and a student. Brothers all the same.\n\nFriend and guide, something to stay forever more.\n\nA dragon's roar, a wolf's howl,\n\nThings they try to tame,\n\nBut instead get flesh that tore.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe dragon is strong, the wolf is cunning.\n\nBut within both, they are the same.\n\nFor with every individual,\n\nThe only difference is the shell\n\nThe wolf is the dragon's guide,\n\nThe dragon sits by his side,\n\nWatching,\n\nWaiting,\n\nLearning,\n\nThe day has yet to come,\n\nWhen the dragon is accepted by his own.\n\nThrough endless torture,\n\nHe has come,\n\nCaring for the human with whom he is one.\n\nThe human is held up on this great power's wings,\n\nThrough the air, he feels free.\n\nThis human,\n\nThis poor human,\n\nFound a wolf.\n\nThe wolf was kind,\n\nAnd helped find,\n\nThe human's place in a world so unkind.\n\nThe wolf's kindness was an endless bank,\n\nYet all the human can do is thank.\n\nThe dragon, who is faithful forever to the human,\n\nAlso saw the wolf that was a man.\n\nWhen the dragon faltered,\n\nThe man lent him a hand,\n\nBut nothing in return did he demand.\n\nFor they are brothers across the gorge,\n\nWith a fraternity forged.\u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poetry","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/434498-shed-for-the-fallen.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/455400-marriage.json"}}
