# Mar: A World at War; Chapter 1: Review Author: bcdragon Tags: Bear, Dragon, Eagle, Horse, No-Yiff, Orca, Other, Plot Development, Story Progression, Story Series, Violence (Not In Yiff), Wolf #1 of Mar: A World at War The basic information on the new series I'm starting to write, let me know what you think.   It is the Second Era and the world known as Mar has been enjoying a peace that it's not seen in over 1000 years. The realms that make up Mar are: Light, Shadow, Fire, Air, Water and Earth. These six realms each possess ancient scripture, said to be as old as the lands themselves that are representative of the names and values they hold: The Light realm's ancient script _reads_ "Shine, shine as bright as the stars themselves and you will be as such in spirit, a star among the blackness of the universe, as so you should be in the end". The landscape is comprised of wide open plains. These plains are the source of their food but also another more _peculiar _resource: energy. Regarding the beings that inhabit this realm are, in a word: perspicacious, the original race that lives in the light realm are Eagles. The Air realm's ancient scripture _states_ "The time when conviction and morals will waver and fall is the time when perseverance will prosper and thrive". The ground of the air realm is entirely covered with a very thick fog, the only land to ever be seen are the peaks of mountains. The sky of the realm is where the people live floating on the ever unmoving clouds. The people of the clouds are stubborn and willful. The first inhabitants of the air realm were the Humans. The Earth realm's ancient script _reminds_ "Steel, steel yourselves and remain ready, if you must face your enemy, face him with pride and confidence, without this calling yourself brave would be but a lie". The mountainous ranges of the earth realm are near endless but with that endless supply of mountains comes a near endless supply of forging metals. The general people work as smiths and as a result are constantly crafting armor and weapons, these people are very commonly: Horses The Water realm's script _asks_ "What is a person worth? Do a man's morals and values depict him wholly, no. Take time to appreciate the land before you start to build on it, and you will never be abandoned." Most of this realm's land is hidden under the surface of the water, while there are those who live on the land of the realm most of the residents of the water realm live in the source of life known as the sea, the others are the fisherman who love it so, the first people to live here were the Orcas. The Shadow realm's ancient script _screams_ "Rebel! For darkness holds no shadows! To be as consistent as the next is tyranny! Fight! Fight for yourself and your freedom, as a man born a slave is raised a Rebel". The outlandishness of this realm knows no bounds as all manner of beings have come to call this mountainous, forest covered acreage home. The beings here are as treacherous and backstabbing as the royal assassins they train and produce, but the very first were the Wolves _and__ _Bears. The Fire realm's ancient script _warns_ "When all burns and the gods are watching as all the world turns to ash, only your character will be judged...but be wary for if your character holds faults you too will burn to ash". The realm is home to people that are loyal and honest in correspondence with their ancient script, the land they live in is mostly very harsh desert and with only one river that flows from the far west clear on to the west. There are very few races that are able to live in this realm. That being the case the first race to live in the Fire realm; were the Dragons. The path of peace that lies open for Mar will remain so for only a short time, as all good things must come to an End.
