High above
On the edge
He resides

Viewing all
That lies below
Studying the world

In which he quietly resides;
A vagabond
Amongst his own thoughts

A caricature
Of something more
Though none can see

They all simply turn away
Taken aback
By such a sight

Such bitterness
As cold as his gaze;
Lifeless as the true hue of night

Time
Has also
Left its mark;

Grooves so deep

Like the rivers
Which never flowed

Desires
Whispered
By the Winter winds

Hopes
Muttered
By the falling leaves

Laments
Sung
By the sky's tears

A symphony
Unbroken
By his sighs

Until today
When it all changed;
A bittersweet twist

An elegant figure,

Warm and pure,
Seated itself by his side

Moments of silence
Passed once more
Though this was different

This quiet
Was not of pain
But of repose

A gift

Of the unknown:
So simple

There they sat,
Enjoying one another's presence,

Until the sun began to set

Soon after
The grandeur
Of light and color

Had finally finished,
The figure stood

And quietly departed

Once again

He was alone

His mind wandering

New paths

That he had never walked;
Thoughts of something more

The quiet ambient

Of his thoughts
Resonating

Until the next day
When the figure returned

Though this time

It spoke,
A voice like velvet,
Soothing to the mind's touch

The figure
Introduced itself;
A young man

Of the artist's trade:
Familiar with many

Of life's experiences

He smiled
And began to spin a tale

Of many shades

A childhood

Bleak and cold:
Filled with sorrow

A progression
Into a time of confusion
And worry

Leading into a phase

Of acceptance:
A realization

That life

Was a creature

Of many facets

And that one
Must simply keep moving
Or he will never truly live

And so
The young man
Was brought here

Not by fate
Not by chance

But by a tug:

A sensation
That gripped him

By the fibers of his being

Needing only this reason

He continued to visit
And as the days passed

He kept telling his tales
Of his life thusfar;
An open mind to the world

Twas this
That brought forth
The truth

The secret
Of is conversational partner;

His true self awakened

Many months
Had passed

When he spoke

For the first

And only
Time

He turned

And smiled,
Whispering

I love you,

My Dear
And until the day

That time itself
Fades from existence
I will stay by your side

Together
Forever

You and I

The young man

Embraced him,
As their lips gently met

And with that
The two became one,
Bound by time

Held by stone
And kept by their hearts' desire

To never leave one another

Together
Forever
A love so pure
