#1 of Poems

It's been a while since I've posted stuff. So, I'm sorry for that. Anyway, I hope that I could post stuff more often. Hopefully more to come as well. By the way, I used this for a project in school. Hope you like it! :)

Aye, Love

Its bells echo all throughout

In the nigh or in the far

At great heights or deep depths

It knows no boundaries

The repetitive chimes and tolls

Resonate through my whole

Like an earthquake that shakes

The world to the very core

It does the same to my very heart and soul

The tune so fragile and strong

Enough to be broken by words

Enough to carry on 'til death

Enough to break your heart

Enough to put it back together again

A song of blessing or burden

For better or worse or Rich or poor

In sickness or in health

May it be a gift or a curse

'Til death do they part

I once loathed

The thought of falling in love

Thinking it may never happen to me

I was certain about that

Until that faithful day

I remember that I fell into its spell

Its daze was so real

But it was just an illusion

And so everything crumbled

Impossible to put it back together

I was caved in, trapped

In my own darkness

No warmth, no light, all hope seemed lost

But during the deepest darkness

Light bloomed forth

All the warmth and joy

Came back in this one light

It restored the faith I had in love

It restored my heart

This time the love is not an illusion

Love is a strange thing is it not?

It is always uncertain, always a gamble

Nevertheless, love means

Everything we hold dear

That's what makes it truly worth fighting for
