This mask I wear grows heavy and weak

So many decades of unbearable pain

Have left me feeling everything but meek

From this anger, what can I gain?

 

I'm sick of playing what you call a game

I'm tired of all my doubts and fears

You've gone and extinguished the flame

And you wonder why I cry so many tears.

 

I can no longer pretend that I am okay

I just want this to come to an end

There is no place here for me to stay

I'm sorry this isn't something we can mend.
