# What O.o Author: Phoenix Lynx Tags: Lynx, Phoenix, Random, WintertimeContest2012, Wolf something I wrote in 10 mins    It all started not to long ago. In a small town called Kimono. At the time I was just a small kitten looking for a warm home for the winter. The nights were getting bitter and iceicals formed on my wiskers. Course, no one in Kimono wanted a furry in there house. It was consitered back luck there. I went looking for a place to stay the night, when no one let me in, I curled up in a small box. I guess you could say it was cozy, it beat sleeping in the snow. I started to drift off in my sleep, that's when I was smacked awake by a paw.    I opened my eyes and stretched out, to find a small black and red wolf fur pup staring at me.     "What are you doing in my box?" His voice was deep and it scared me a bit.     I could speak, more like I couldn't find the right words.      "I-i didn't know this was ocupied..." I stuttered and shook a bit infront of him.     The pup laughed and told me it was okay, and I could spend the night with him. I tried to keep my distance from him as much as I could. He was covered in scares and his eyes glowed in the low light from the streets. I seemed to have quickly fallen back asleep and the young wolf was gone when I awoke.    I quickly left his box, thinking that he was going to hurt me if I didn't. Thats when I realised, him and I weren't so different.    I walked around the small town seeing if I might beable to find him. Without any sucess, by the time the sun was going down I wondered back to the small box I shared with him. Sure enough he was there.    He was curled up in a cute little ball and it made me smile. He shook from the cold breeze. I silently moved into the box and curled around him to keep him warm. His fur felt soft against mine as he snuggled into me for warmth. I rested my head on his and slowly went to sleep.    I awoke later to him pawing at me to wake me up.     " morning sleeply" He quitely said to me.    I smiled at him slightly and stood up in the box.    "morning, umm cold wolf?" I replayed.     He laughed a bit at me and then I noticed it. We were snowed into the box. All I could think f was great now what? My stomac growed and I blushed a bit embarssed of that. The wolf pup smirked at me.     "Hungry little kitty?" He seemed to be taunghting me with that.    I sighed, told him I was and that I hadn't actually eaten in days. He started to shake again because of the cold and quickly snuggled up to me, like I was a good friend or family.    "I hope this doesn't bother you." He blushed and looked away as he spoke.    like the cute inocent little pup I thought him to be. I shook my head left to right blushing a bit aswell. His winter fur hadn't come in yet.    "Akatio." I spoke quitley.    The wolf pup raised his head up slowly to look me in the eyes.    "What?" he asked.     "Akatio" I said "That's my name Akatio."      "Nice name," He smiled. "I'm Akita."       We sat there in the darkness without speaking for some time before Akita driffed off to sleep. I guess I must have passed out aswell because when I awoke someone was trying to dig into our, his box. I stood over Akita trying to protect him. To this day I still don't know why. A human hand came towards him and I bit it, no human was going to touch him. I let go of the hand the monment I tasted blood. My body was tossed aside and whipped against the box's wall causeing it to colapse on Akita.       I quickly got to my feet and moved to see if he was okay, but by the time I was close enough he was gone and so was the human. I had no control anymore to what I was doing, for I was "seeing red", however I do remember what happened.      My body swiftly fallowed the humans tracks into the more busy part of the small town. I continued to try and fallow them for, Akita was the only other person I knew. (If you counted him as a person.) When I again caught up with the man he was holding Akita by the sruff of his neck and handing him to a man in a white coat. My body lunged at the glass door that sperated me from them. The glass shattered and got stuck in my paw.    I growled at the men and jumped up trying to get Akita who was struggling to get free. The man who orginaly took Akita kicked me aside, crushing a few of my ribs. I couldn't move. Akita barked, and bite the man in the white coat till he dropped him. The man in white picked me up and I yelpped in pain. Akita, nor I liked this.     Akita bit at the man's ankles and fallowed him to where he was taking me. I was laid on a table, srounded by wires and needles. My heart raced, I didn't want to be there. Akita managed to get onto the table and stand above me, protecting me from what ever the man was going to do to me.    Akita looked down at me with worried eyes. "Why did you try and help me?"
