{"sf1_id":473474,"sf2_id":"J1OMWEkm","title":"New Years Eve","author":"moosch","words":342,"posted_at":"2012-12-12T17:55:00.000Z","tags":["Anthro","Romance"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/473474-new-years-eve","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/J1OMWEkm","image_url":"https://www.sofurryfiles.com/std/thumb?page=473474\u0026ext=.jpg","description":"Just something i wrote when i got bored","content":"Music was playing, people were dancing and the sky was getting dark.\n\nNew Year's Eve was always an exciting time, it felt like everyone got together and had fun and looked forwards to a better year.\n\nMichael loved New Year's Eve, it was a night when he could relax and have fun and not worry about day to day things.\n\nMichael prided himself on being the kind of fox others liked to be around because he was fun and outgoing, and for the most part that was the case.\n\nHe wouldn't have called himself popular but he wasn't unpopular.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nHowever this New Year's Eve Michael wasn't feeling as outgoing as usual.\n\nOver the year he had really gotten to know a girl called Zoe, he liked her a lot and wanted to ask her out but was always nervous about it.\n\nMichael didn't have a lot of experience with women and he was always lost for words when it came down to asking them out.\n\nSometimes it really just frustrated him, why couldn't he just say a few simple words?\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nMichael looked across the room and saw Zoe standing with some people he didn't know.\n\nIt was nearly New Year's Day and he wanted to ask her out at midnight because that was the kind of romantic stuff you see in films but he was getting extremely anxious.\n\nHe walked over to where Zoe was standing and joined in their conversation.\n\nIt turned out they were talking about what their new year's resolutions were going to be, it varied from working harder to learning to juggle.\n\nIt was almost midnight; Michael asked Zoe if he could to her.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nMichael tried to explain his feeling to her but he got the words muddled up and just confused himself.\n\nAs the clock struck twelve Michael panicked, he decided to take a risk and show how he felt without using words.\n\nAs people all around him shouted Happy New Year Michael kissed Zoe and hoped for a better, brighter new year.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
