Part 2 :U

With his home now gone, and having no reason at all to stay, the stale blue half-breed
gathered what he sought to be useful. With him, he found a good shoulder pack which he
filled with old spiced grain. Looking around his current surroundings, he couldn't help but to
tear up a bit, looking at the damage of this place he once called home. The smell of nothing
but blood, dirt, and rotting smoke. The texture of the feel of smoke against his throat causing
him to cough, his breath able to be seen due to the cold weather. The snow, now covered in
ash and items that were of no use, were riddled all throughout the land. He walks out of what
used to be where the food was portioned at, looking around. After a while of staring at his
actual home, he took a deep breath upon the decision of one last look. Even though the
storm and fires were long gone, ashes still slowly fell from the dark, smoke-filled sky. He
slowly tradded [Tradded: trotted + padded] inside, having to step over and onto the
collapsed torched pine door, his heart beginning to race. Seeing this causes him to tear up a
little more, the tear streaks showing in greater depth against his partially smoke covered
pelt. Shaking some of the ashes out of his mane, he looks over to one of the pictures that he
and his mom had taken together.. maybe even the only one. It was framed, so thankfully the
only damage done was partaken to the frame and the glass covering. The glass was partially
cracked because of the convulsions of heat, so he was extra careful when he wiped the
smoke and ash off of it, using the side of his wrist and upper forearm while holding the
picture in the other. Paying no mind to the cut he got from the glass, he just sat and stared at
the photo which seemed to be hours, the sun now going away once more. He removed the
cloth photo from the ruined framing. Using a few shreds from an old blanket he had from
when he was a lot younger, he tied the picture to his wrist, able to see his mother now
wherever he traveled. With one last sigh, he was off. He tradded back outside and slowly
took flight, his eyes partially bloodshot from the amount of smoke. Having no idea where he
was to live now, let alone stay, he just kept flying. He enjoyed the feel of the wind against his
pelt, mane and eyes. The cooling from it seemed to ease his stress, his eyes closed as the
wind sifted through his mane and fur.
The flashbacks began to set in.. His first time he went flying with his mom. He was held in her
giant, lionlike paws, experiencing what he's experiencing right now. But back then, flight was
special.. Finally looking below as he thought, a small smile on his face as another tear
creeped from his eye, the forest was fine.. Green trees, the wildlife. This being seen, he flew
lower. As he descended, the mist from some of the clouds sticking to some of his mane and
fur. He landed quietly, the feel of soft, wet twigs, grass and leaves beneath his paws and
hooves. He set his shoulder pack on an stump, surrounded by many towering trees. He then
walked over to a small stream, the stream being narrow enough for a washing. He closed his
eyes, using his paws to scoop up some of the water and wash the smudged smoke away from
his face, then streaking some more water through his mane. Remembering vivid memories as
his first baths when he was younger, he knew living in the past will only ruin his present and
future. He took a moment to think before he finished washing, getting the access water away
from his eyes. As he proceeds to finish this, his ears flicker. He looks back at the stump where
he set his pack at, noticing his pack was gone. He quietly looked around and worked his way
forward, his vision clear now. Moving slowly in caution, he kept his eyesight concentrated
and didn't even think twice about blinking. At the sound of a hiss and some sort of creature
darting by him, he turned but not in time. The strange creature made him lose his balance,
but he regained it almost instantly and without thinking, he flew after the creature. The more
it gained speed, the more he did as well. At his best guess, this was the creature's home and
it knew the area far more than he did. Hearing more hisses from a random pattern, he slowed
to a stop. Looking around him once more, he noticed what seemed to be sets of eyes coming
his way from within the forest. They seemed to be crawling from underground and along the
loose leaves, throwing twigs out of their paths. His ears flicker again, but this time he turned
in fear.. one of the creatures split a tree from it's roots, the tree falling toward him. Using his
element and what strength he had, the young drony was able to stop the tree from falling on
top of him, throwing it to the side and only missing him by three of his hooves. Panting, he
tried to regain his breath and look out for more of the creatures, but it was too late. He felt a
figure grab each of his back hooves, the figure tightening the grip as it drug him down back to
the surface of the forest with what seemed to be vines.. strong hands, even. Letting out a
loud growl as he hit the forest floor, the last thing he saw was those eyes...
