Take from it what you will.","content":" **Cards**\n\n**\u0026nbsp;**\n\nThe cards are dealt,\n\nThe impact is felt,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nTwo hands we see,\n\nHow will these lives be?\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nTo one goes a loving home,\n\nAnother is left to roam.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nTo one happiness and kindness felt,\n\nThe other only hardships and welts,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe bets go around\n\nUntil a victor is found,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nLet the next hand begin,\n\nAnd we shall see who wins,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nOne is the master of the school,\n\nThe other is only the fool,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nOne flies through the classroom with ease,\n\nThe other feels stress and pain without a breeze,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe bets go around\n\nUntil a victor is found,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nLet the next hand begin,\n\nAnd we shall see who wins,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nTo one goes a loving wife,\n\nTo the other a cheater and strife,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nOne goes to elope in a foreign land,\n\nThe other with no hope of being a husband,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe bets go around\n\nUntil a victor is found,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nLet the next hand begin,\n\nAnd we shall see who wins,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nOne life spent in pleasure and happiness,\n\nThe other spent in pain and loneliness,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nYet one thing remains as all of this fades,\n\nEveryone awaits the Ace of Spades.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poetry","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/316314-memories-of-those-we-have-lost.json"}}
