Hope you enjoy :)\nDon't be afraid to leave a comment about what you think.","content":"\u0026nbsp; \"Hey fag. \u0026nbsp;You play your vagina like you play that piano?\"\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Alex's ears\u0026nbsp;reflexively\u0026nbsp;flattened\u0026nbsp;back against his head, the little posse of 4 football swaggered across the deserted band room\u0026nbsp;towards\u0026nbsp;him.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Alex \u0026nbsp;felt the cold claw of fear creeping up his spine. \u0026nbsp;Why would they never leave him alone?\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;It was a\u0026nbsp;question\u0026nbsp;he already knew the answer to. \u0026nbsp;He turned from the old piano he had been mindlessly fiddling with and faced the source of the disturbance. \u0026nbsp;It was Lance and his\u0026nbsp;cronies. \u0026nbsp;They always\u0026nbsp;seized\u0026nbsp;an opportunity to belittle and ridicule him. \u0026nbsp;Who would pass up the chance to beat up on the\u0026nbsp;defenseless\u0026nbsp;gay kid. \u0026nbsp;The huge bear looked down on him with a glare of abject distaste.\u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"So you gonna' answer me, bitch?\"\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;Alex looked away and tried to walk passed him. \u0026nbsp;He was stopped by one of his posse. \u0026nbsp;A wolf, who looked decidedly agitated, as if he wasn't sure if he wanted to be there. \u0026nbsp;The other two guys had taken up position on his other side. \u0026nbsp;He was encircled by very large, very mean upperclassmen\u0026nbsp;who would like nothing more than to beat the shit out of him. \u0026nbsp;Alex didn't see this ending well.\n\n \u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Lance reached toward him. \u0026nbsp;Alex flinched away, expecting a blow. \u0026nbsp;Instead he felt the heavy paw rest on his shoulder. \u0026nbsp;He looked up.\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"We just wanted to remind you of something before you leave for\u0026nbsp;Christmas\u0026nbsp;break.\" \u0026nbsp;He smiled, almost congenially down at a bewildered Alex. \u0026nbsp;\"We're gonna be having a good time through the whole break. \u0026nbsp;We're gonna laugh, and hang out with our friends.\" \u0026nbsp;He stopped at the mention of the word friends. \u0026nbsp;\"That makes me wonder, what are you doing over the break?\"\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"N-nothing much.\"\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; The bear shook his head\u0026nbsp;condescendingly. \u0026nbsp;\"Nothing much. \u0026nbsp;No Parties?\"\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Alex shook his head.\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"No big hang-outs with friends?\"\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Alex was lost. \u0026nbsp;He just shook his head again. \u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"You know why?\"\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"N-No, why?\"\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"'Cause\u0026nbsp;you're a little faggot with no friends. \u0026nbsp;That's why.\"\u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Alex's ears flattened against his head again. \u0026nbsp;He felt sick. \u0026nbsp;Lance pushed him back until his back was pressed into the wall behind the piano. \u0026nbsp;His posse followed him. \u0026nbsp;Alex was closely\u0026nbsp;surrounded\u0026nbsp;by the four big jocks. \u0026nbsp;He felt lick he was choking.\n\n \u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"You're just a little fag. \u0026nbsp;Nobody really likes you. \u0026nbsp;The only thing you'll ever be good at is taking it up your scrawny ass like the little bitch you are. \u0026nbsp;Just remember that during your break. \u0026nbsp;Happy holidays queer.\" \u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; They quickly made their exit from the band room. \u0026nbsp;Alex just slide down the wall and\u0026nbsp;buried\u0026nbsp;his head in his paws. \u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \\* \\* \\*  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;_\u0026nbsp;\"You're just a little fag. Nobody really likes you...Happy holidays queer.\"_ \n\n_\u0026nbsp;_  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Jacob shook his head. \u0026nbsp;He needed to drink more.\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; He didn't know why, but that last little confrontation had seemed to cross the line a little more than\u0026nbsp;usual. \u0026nbsp;Normally, Jacob would be all for poking fun at the gay kid, but yesterday had seemed to be much more hateful than normal. \u0026nbsp;\n\n \u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;Jacob realized he was starting to feel bad for the kid and took another swig of his beer. \u0026nbsp;Shit he was starting to get soft.\u0026nbsp;  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; He\u0026nbsp;desperately\u0026nbsp;tried to take his mind off the kid. \u0026nbsp;But after a two beers, four hours, and six girls later: he could still see the look of pure, abject terror in the poor\u0026nbsp;bastard's\u0026nbsp;eyes. \u0026nbsp;Jacob sighed. \u0026nbsp;He was tired. \u0026nbsp;He felt empty, and somewhat\u0026nbsp;defeated. \u0026nbsp;All he wanted to do was curl up in his bed and forget the world and all it's expectations.\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Jacob walked over to Lance, it was his party, so Jacob thought it would be polite to say goodbye to his friend before he left.\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"Hey. \u0026nbsp;Hey, Lance.\" \u0026nbsp;It took Jacob about five minuets to get the bear's attention, and roughly another three just to make him understand that he was leaving. \u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; The bear shook his head sadly. \u0026nbsp;\"Jacob. Jacob. Jacob. \u0026nbsp;How can you leave so early?\" \u0026nbsp;He gestured awkwardly in front of him, indicating the masses of young people partying. \u0026nbsp;\"How can you go home, with all these fine bitches ripe for fucking?\"\u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Jacob rolled his eyes. \u0026nbsp;You could always count on lance to be...well...Lance. \u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"Hey, before you go, could you grab me some booze? \u0026nbsp;I'm busy.\"\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Busy wasn't the first word that came to Jacob's mind, more like 'man-whoring'. \u0026nbsp;The bear had two girls, one under each arm, and was telling greatly\u0026nbsp;exaggerated\u0026nbsp;versions of his football\u0026nbsp;accomplishments. \u0026nbsp;All three party-goers were wasted out of their minds, and appeared to be on the verge of just stripping down and fucking right out there for everyone to see.\n\n  \n\n_\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;_\u0026nbsp;Trying to ignore his friends promiscuity, Jacob walked over to the cooler that contained the booze and grabbed a bottle of tequila in each paw. \u0026nbsp;He headed back, stringing his way through the\u0026nbsp;rowdy\u0026nbsp;crowd to where the bear and his 'acquaintances' were sitting.\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"Hey! \u0026nbsp;Hey Lance!\"\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Lance was too preoccupied, or too drunk, to notice him. \u0026nbsp;He was whispering something into one of the girls' ears. \u0026nbsp;Jacob didn't want to know what.\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Eventually he just gave up and kicked Lance in the shin to get his attention. \n\n\u0026nbsp;  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; It wasn't a hard kick, just some sharp contact to get the bear's attention. \u0026nbsp;Lance though, of course, was Lance. \u0026nbsp;The bear seemed to have\u0026nbsp;forgotten\u0026nbsp;about his earlier request for more booze. \u0026nbsp;He stood up yelling and shoved Jacob back towards the bonfire. \u0026nbsp;To save himself from hitting the flames, Jacob\u0026nbsp;instinctively\u0026nbsp;twisted and\u0026nbsp;flailed\u0026nbsp;his arms. \u0026nbsp;The pair of bottles flew out of his paws and landed in the fire. \u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; There was a loud explosion followed by a hot wave of smoky air. \u0026nbsp;Jacob felt the heat wave coming and covered his face with his arms. \u0026nbsp;Half a second later he felt thousands of tiny shards of glass shred through his clothes and rip into his skin. \u0026nbsp;He howled in pain and rage as he felt millions of white hot needles\u0026nbsp;embed\u0026nbsp;themselves into his flesh. \u0026nbsp;There was one last loud pop and the melee was over less than a second before it had started. \u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Jacob turned. \u0026nbsp;He his voice screaming at Lance. \u0026nbsp;He saw everyone staring at him.\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \"What the fuck are you doing!\"\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Then he felt a warm\u0026nbsp;liquid\u0026nbsp;running down the side of his neck. \u0026nbsp;He looked down and reached up to the hot\u0026nbsp;area\u0026nbsp;with his paw. \u0026nbsp;He felt so numb. \u0026nbsp;So fucking numb.\n\n  \n\n_\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;_\u0026nbsp;His paw was covered in blood. \u0026nbsp;It took him a few seconds to realize it was his. \u0026nbsp;He looked up. \u0026nbsp;Everyone was crowded around him. \u0026nbsp;Just staring. \u0026nbsp;_\u0026nbsp;_\n\n  \n\n_\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;_\u0026nbsp;The firelight cast its hellish glow on everything. \u0026nbsp;Jacob could feel his blood dripping out of him...his life ebbing out of him like the tide receding back into the ocean. \u0026nbsp;He sank to his knees. \u0026nbsp;The darkness was\u0026nbsp;surrounding\u0026nbsp;him like he and his friends had surrounded that poor gay kid\u0026nbsp;earlier.\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; Suddenly, Jacob realized he wasn't worried about whether he was going soft or not. \u0026nbsp;He didn't care what Lance, or anyone, thought of him anymore. \u0026nbsp;He just wanted to let that kid know that he was sorry. \u0026nbsp;Sorry for all the times Jacob had picked on him, ridiculed him, and told him he was going to die alone. \u0026nbsp;Just as Jacob was\u0026nbsp;dyeing\u0026nbsp;alone right now. \u0026nbsp;He collapsed to the ground, unable to stay on his knees any longer. \u0026nbsp;He wondered why it had needed to end like this. \u0026nbsp;His eyes slowly closed, and the darkness began to envelop him. \u0026nbsp;Somewhere, someone was screaming. \u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; It was\u0026nbsp;strangely\u0026nbsp;peaceful. \u0026nbsp;He only wished he had the chance to tell that Alex kid he was sorry. \u0026nbsp;Jacob wondered if his death would at least give the kid a little respite from all the bullying he had to go to. \u0026nbsp;Bullying Jacob had all to often been a part of. \n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; The darkness was almost complete. \u0026nbsp;He could feel the world fading away. \u0026nbsp;Fading away like the morning mists slowly\u0026nbsp;dissolving into nothingness\u0026nbsp;in the morning light. \u0026nbsp;Except there was no light...only nothingness. \u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; It was almost relaxing. \u0026nbsp;No more friends, no more parties, no more bullying. \u0026nbsp;He\u0026nbsp;finally\u0026nbsp;gave into it, let the darkness claim him for it's own. \u0026nbsp;He let go of himself, and then drifted away into a sea nothingness. \u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Bonfire Blues(RIP)","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/508862-red-fur-green-eyes-suicidal-tendencies.json"}}
