Digital Adventures  
Chapter One. And it begins. By Razul  
  
"Wha," I say sleepily, "Just a dream ... but it felt so real."  
"Ray, are you awake yet."  
"Yeah mom."  
Being 19 and still living at home, it's not great but the rents cheap. Later, "Yea,  
Ray."  
"Uh oh, sorry Alex you were saying something."  
"You're quiet today, anything up." Alex was one of the few close friends I had.  
We were on our way to class today and it was his day to drive. "No just thinking." I  
couldn't tell him about the dream. I didn't even understand it myself. I couldn't get any  
clear pictures in my head. All I had were gut feelings about it and I didn't like what I  
was feeling. It was like some one was trying to tell me something, how to stop  
something from happening, something terrible. I didn't think about it much for the next  
few days until some very weird stuff started happening and was showing up on the news.  
  
No one could explain it but people started seeing ghostly figures that looked  
strangely like digimon. They were mostly appearing in large cities but there were  
sightings elsewhere. It was really odd because they seemed like they could see out  
world, they just couldn't interact with it. In the period of a few days though, they started  
to get clearer, more defined. Now, no one is entirely sure why the first digimon fully  
phased where or when it did. I have my own idea though and it's the best expiation any  
one has. Fate. That is the only thing that works. It is the only way to explain what  
happened.  
  

  I was down at the local park this early spring day. It was a little cold, but the sun  
helped so it wasn't that bad. There was no one else there which was exactly what I  
wanted right then. I was just in an argument with my parents about my grades. To put it  
simple, they weren't great. Three of my classes were fine but I was getting a terrible  
grade in English. I was having problems getting the assignments done. So to blow off  
some steam I drove down to somewhere open that I could just walk and think. Some how  
my mind landed on the digimon sightings. As so as I started thinking about it I had the  
feeling I was being watched. I stopped walking and looked around but didn't see any  
thing. So I just started walking again but then I got the feeling again and this time it was  
stronger. I stopped and looked and there it was. I wasn't sure what digimon it was but I  
had this feeling that some thing was very wrong. It looked kind of like a flamedrmon but  
it was black instead of blue. I was worried but not that worried because even though this  
"Dark Flamedramon" looked like it was there, so had many other sightings and they had  
not been there. Something told me though that this was different, that it was there and it  
was there for a reason. Then some one yelled, "Run Ray, he's here to get you, run like  
you've never ran before." Just as who ever said that did, flamedrmon attacked, and man  
did I run. I didn't even know I could run that fast. It was not fast enough, yeah I was  
able to dodge his melee attacks but then he did some move that caused an explosion  
behind me throwing me to the ground. I had barely the strength to turn over and look at  
Flamedramon. I'm thinking to myself, "Why is he after me? Is this really how I am  
going to die?" Just as he is about to finish me off, something stops him. All I remember  
next is there is a bright light all around and that some one or some thing fights off the  
Flamedramon. Then who ever it was comes over to me and I hear a female voice say,  
"It's ok Ray. You're safe now." Then I just passed out.  
  

  The next thing that I can remember that I am floating, nowhere in particular, just  
floating in empty space. Then out of nowhere this light came and with an oddly normal  
voice said, "Hello Ray." Shocked and surprised I just stare. He continues, "You are  
probably wondering what is going on right now." I just manage to shake my head saying  
yes. "Well," he says, "your world and what you would call the 'digital world' are  
colliding into each other. Now the only way to save both world is to find what is causing  
this and to stop it before it is too late." "But, why me," finally getting over my shock.  
"Well, because you are really the best choose for the job. Now don't worry. You don't  
have to do it alone. I think you two will work quiet well together." Then he starts to  
leave and adds, "Oh yeah, you are going to need this." In front of me, a digivce appears.  
I grab it and he says to me, "Good luck Ray, you are going to need it. Oh, one last thing  
Renamon may be hard to get along with at first but once you both open up, you'll find  
that you two are not that different."  
  

  The first thing that I realized after waking up is that I am not in the field any  
more. Then I realized THAT EVERY BONE IN MY BODY HURTS. I don't mean sore  
kind of hurts I mean lemon in an open wound hurts. "I see that you are final awake," said  
a female voice out of my view. "You must be Renamon. How long have I been out," I  
asked. "A few hours," she said, "Don't try to get up. You got hurt pretty bad back  
there." "You're telling me," I said back at her in a sarcastic tone of voice. "This is not a  
time to be making jokes. You should be dead right now." I could hear distress in her  
voice as she said that. "What do you mean I should be dead now," starting to feel scared  
by what she just said. "That attack would have taken out most champions." I sit up  
sharply after she said that and braced myself expecting sharp, but it never came. "What  
the hell is going on," I think to my self. I turn myself to face Renamon and that's when I  
get my first good look of her. That's when I am taken aback by just how beautiful she is.  
Everything about her is perfect; her face, her body, her tail and her fur. "OMFG." I kept  
starting I until I got a grip of myself and snapped out of it. Then, I realized that I hadn't  
introduced myself yet. "I am sorry I haven't told you my name. I am Raymond but most  
every body calls me Ray." I put my hand out for a hand shake. She returns with shaking  
my hand and says, "Well Ray, it looks like we have to save our worlds by working  
together. Do you mind if we start working on that now."  
  

  "No, not at all"  
  
So we go up and left and started off on our adventure not knowing yet where it  
would take us. All we know is that the survival of out world depends of us. Yeah, no  
pressure there.  
  
  
  
This is my first story ever. I really need feed back on it so tell me what you think. For  
thoughs of you out there looking for yiff i am going to do that at some point but you are  
going to have to wait until i am confident about the story. Oh yeah if you see spelling errors  
or grammer errors tell me so that i can fix them thank.
