# A Moment In Hell

poem

Ashes of the past drift in the midnight skies
I watch them fall around me like dying fireflies
Tears flowing like a river and the constant pain
Filling the void of loneliness and lighting it up in flames
That never seem to grow cold with the passing of time
All it takes is a glimpse of a memory or a sign

 Infinite distraction
 Chain reaction
Swallowing me like a black hole
 Infinite distraction
 Chain reaction
 Dissolving and corrupting my soul

Tell me I'm dreaming - this will all go away
That I'm not in this nonexistent plane
A fraction of my time spent in hopes of happiness
Makes everything else turn into bitterness
Don't think I'll leave here until I find the way out
It seems to have disappeared and replaced by doubt

 Infinite distraction
 Chain reaction
Swallowing me like a black hole
 Infinite distraction
 Chain reaction
 Dissolving and corrupting my soul
