From Jabberwock jaws
You spring, your flank grazed
By sharp insanity,
The snap of logic
Threatening to bring you, whimpering,
Over to reality
Hysteria's thorn pierces
Your side as you bound
Through white roses
That demand blood
Of red
The trumpet sounds
Its final call
Disregarding your plaintive cries
For but a sip
Of chamomile
To calm the madness
And still your pounding breast
Your pocket watch's frantic ticking
Reminds you of the hour
Royal spears
Bar the way through foe's refuge
To disobey her law screams
Treason
But still you stand
Against them all
Her glass laugh shatters
The last of their resolve
But yours, hewn from stone,
Tears her leaf-thin heart
Liquid denial stains
Her face
Fiery triumph ignites
Your eyes, a blaze
Of painful truths
As you depart
With lightning form
