Necessarily, because it's a fan fic, this story is copyrighted.\nMike (c) by me.\nKelly (c) by me.\nNaryawen (c) by me.","content":"_Author's note: A realistic [Golduck](http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc0wb072cJ1rfrjf2o1_500.png), [Oshawott](http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/328/f/6/realistic_oshawott_by_twarda8the8xanax-d4h6v08.jpg), and an unrealistc [Starmie with Misty](http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m5nwid3jG11qhmi3bo1_500.png).\u0026nbsp;_\n\n_[Ash Ketchum](http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/301/a/8/the_one_and_the_only_by_pokemon_fr-d31ptg9.jpg) at 18 -- looks pretty awesome, if I say so myself. \u0026nbsp;The below picture of Ash at 18 is done by Pokemon-FR. \u0026nbsp;From left to right:[Brock, Ash, Misty](http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/314/3/2/pokemonfrid_02___legendary_trio_by_pokemon_fr-d31zqgz.jpg) at their ages for this story. \u0026nbsp;Brock is still in Sinnoh. \u0026nbsp;Also done by Pokemon-FR. \u0026nbsp;_\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n* * *\n\nAn olympic sized swimming pool made up the Cerulean Gym.\u0026nbsp; The gym was blue on the roof, and light blue all around.\u0026nbsp; There were pictures of starfish and fish gracing the gym with a stuffed Great White Shark hovering above the pool.\u0026nbsp; Misty was on one side of the pool standing on a floating island.\u0026nbsp; Dressed in a one piece swimming suit, Misty looked like she was ready. \u0026nbsp; She was also looking at Mike with confidence.\n\n\u0026nbsp;One the other side was Mike. \u0026nbsp; He stood on another floating island.\u0026nbsp; Standing with him was Kelly.\u0026nbsp; Mike, with his white duster waving with the uncertain motion of the pool.\u0026nbsp; Mike stayed calm and collected, he didn't want to get seasick from the pool's motion.\u0026nbsp; Kelly's tails moved in counter motion to the water of the pool, helping him stay steady.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"The rules will be a 3 on 3 battle,\" said Misty.\u0026nbsp; \"You will win the match when all three of my Pokemon are defeated.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;A young woman appeared on the stand between them.\u0026nbsp; \"This is an official Gym Battle between the Challenger from Viridian City -- Mike of Viridian; and the Gym Trainer Misty from Cerulean City.\"\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nNaryawen sat down in the top bleachers away from the water that would hit her.\u0026nbsp; She was watching the battle with interest.\u0026nbsp; Beside her sat the young adult from yesterday.\u0026nbsp; He sat down and also looked on with interest.\u0026nbsp; Naryawen turned to him and said, \"You're him.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Yes, I'm Ash,\" said the young adult.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"What are you doing here?\" she asked.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"I always watch my wife's gym battles,\" said Ash.\n\n\u0026nbsp;Naryawen asked, \"Why?\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"For my own reasons,\" Ash said, somberly.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"For my first pokémon, I use Starmie!\"\u0026nbsp; She threw out a pokéball, and it opened to release a purple being that looked like two starfish glued together.\u0026nbsp; On it's front was a jewel that was a [bi-colored](http://www.gemhut.com/clipart/sph/sphbi1.gif) sapphire.\u0026nbsp; \"YAH!\" it said.\n\n\u0026nbsp;Mike released a pokeball, \"for my first pokemon, I choose you, Felix!\"\u0026nbsp; The pokeball opened and released Mike's totodile, Felix.\u0026nbsp; The little blue crocodile with a red fringe danced around happily.\u0026nbsp; \"Totodile, toto, toto, totodile!\" Felix said.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"A water type against a water type,\" said Misty.\u0026nbsp; \"Interesting, and a totodile!\u0026nbsp; My husband has one!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;Ash was observing the battle.\u0026nbsp; \"Interesting, a water type vs. a water type,\" said Ash.\u0026nbsp; \"I guess all that Mike has are you, that ninetales morph down there, and the totodile.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Master has a fourth pokemon,\" said Naryawen.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Really,\" said Ash.\u0026nbsp; \"Well, I wonder how he would fair.\"\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\"Underwater, Starmie!\" commanded Misty.\u0026nbsp; The Starmie jumped into the water, causing a splash.\n\n\u0026nbsp;Mike commanded, \"Into the water, Felix!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Totodile!\" said Felix as he did a swan dive into the water. \u0026nbsp; Both Pokemon was in the water, both of the pocket monsters' speciality.\u0026nbsp; Both were ready to target each other.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Starmie, swift attack!\" said Misty.\u0026nbsp; Starmie then began to roll in the water heading towards Felix. It was heading towards Felix at a terrific speed, and without little warning.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Felix, razor bite that Starmie!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;Felix swam towards it and managed to bite one of Starmie's arms.\u0026nbsp; Starmie came out of the water, while wheeling around it Felix had to release his bite and then the totodile hit the water, hard.\u0026nbsp; However, as a water pokemon, it shrugged off the bite and got up on the floating island, dancing around.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Starmie, water gun!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"HA!\" said Starmie as it got into the water, and then floated up to fire a jet of water at Felix.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Felix, defend with water gun!\" said Mike.\u0026nbsp; Felix then fired a jet of water and the two met together, causing a backlash.\u0026nbsp; Water was released all over the pool. \u0026nbsp; Both had stopped, and Misty's Starmie looked pooped, and Felix also looked fatigued.\u0026nbsp; He had his mouth opened and didn't look as joyful as before.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Starmie, recover!\" said Misty.\u0026nbsp; Starmie dived into the water, and came right back up and said, \"HA!\"\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"My Starmie is already to go, but your Totodile looks like it's tiring out,\" said Misty.\n\n\u0026nbsp;Mike said, \"Felix, I need to you to shrug it off for one last push!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Totodile!\" said Totodile, seemingly back to it's joyful self.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Swift Attack!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"BITE!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;Starmie catapulted itself right at Totodile, turning around and around.\u0026nbsp; Totodile jumped up and bit Starmie in the middle and threw it to the door.\u0026nbsp; Starmie hit the door and the light on it's gem started to fade.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"My wife's Starmie should have beaten that Totodile,\" said Ash, still watching from the bleachers.\n\n\u0026nbsp;Naryawen turned to Ash and said, \"What do you mean?\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"You're Master's totodile had certainly prevailed, I guess my wife was going easy on him,\" said Ash.\u0026nbsp; \"But look at your Master's totodile, it's exhausted.\u0026nbsp; I don't think it will make it through the next fight.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;Naryawen said, \"I hope you're wrong.\"\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Starmie, no!\" said Misty as Starmie's energy faded.\u0026nbsp; It slumped, being exhausted and it's fading was more spaced out.\u0026nbsp; It looked in pretty bad shape.\u0026nbsp; Felix didn't look to be in good shape either.\u0026nbsp; \"To-to-dile,\" it said, clearly exhausted.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Starmie is unable to battle,\" said the girl, using a flag.\u0026nbsp; \"The round goes to Mike's totodile.\"\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;Misty commanded, \"Starmie, return!\"\u0026nbsp; A light shined from her pokéball, absorbing Starmie into itself.\u0026nbsp; \"Well, Mike, it's turning out to be an interesting battle.\u0026nbsp; But I have a surprise for you.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"What's that?\" asked Mike.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"My husband's Oshawott!\" said Misty as she threw out a pokéball.\u0026nbsp; Oshawott appeared, and said, \"Oshawott!\"\u0026nbsp; Oshawott looked like a sea otter, but it's fur was light blue and dark blue.\u0026nbsp; On it's stomach was its scalchop -- a half scallop shell.\u0026nbsp; It looked determined.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nAsh looked surprised.\u0026nbsp; His own Oshawott, out in the open and in a gym battle. \u0026nbsp; He never took that out to be in a gym battle in, at least a year.\u0026nbsp; \"Well, lets see how my Oshawott can fair against your Master's totodile.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;Naryawen said, \"Come on Felix, come on Mike!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\"Well, Mike, what are you going to do?\" asked Misty.\u0026nbsp; \"My husband's Oshawott is fresh, and your Totodile is fatigued.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Felix, return,\" said Mike.\u0026nbsp; A light came from his pokeball, and it absorbed Felix into it.\u0026nbsp; \"Rest, right now, Felix.\u0026nbsp; Ace, it's your turn!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;Mike released a pokeball, and out soared the raptorous Ace, a Spearow.\u0026nbsp; \"Spearow!\" said Ace.\u0026nbsp; Also fresh, it was ready to do battle against the Oshawott.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Oshawott, water gun!\" said Misty.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Dodge it, Ace!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Oshawott!\" said the Oshawott, and it fired a water blast.\u0026nbsp; But Ace, the spearow, dodged it.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Now use Aerial Ace!\" said Mike.\u0026nbsp; The Spearow launched itself at Oshawott, and the Oshawott used the clam shell on it's body as a shield, although effective, the Oshawott lost it's balance after a second try.\u0026nbsp; \"Good work, Ace!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Oshawott, use razor shell!\" said Misty. \u0026nbsp; \"Osssshhha-wott!\" he replied as he threw his shell at Ace, and hit the Spearow, causing him to caw in pain. \u0026nbsp; But it wasn't enough to get him out of the sky.\n\n\u0026nbsp;Mike said, \"Ace, use peck!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Spearrrr-ow!\" Ace said as it started to peck at Oshawott.\u0026nbsp; Oshawott started to move around the island until it got into the water.\u0026nbsp; Ace got it's altitude back.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"We have to finish this up, use gust!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Spear, spear, spearow!\" Ace said as it flapped it's wings quickly to cause a gust of wind.\u0026nbsp; The wind affected the waves and Oshawott was trying to stand it.\u0026nbsp; The little oshawott tried to recover, but the wind force knocked it against the side of the pool, knocking it out.\u0026nbsp; \"Oshawott . . .\" he said.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Oh, no, Oshawott!\" said Misty.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;Ash got up and was stunned.\u0026nbsp; His Oshawott was beaten.\u0026nbsp; \"How in the world?\" he asked.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"That's my Master, Ash,\" said Naryawen.\u0026nbsp; \"Impressive, isn't he.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Yes, very impressive,\" said Ash.\u0026nbsp; His eyes brightened and he started to get excited.\u0026nbsp; \"Come on, Mikey, come on.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe machoke morph was watching.\u0026nbsp; At first he thought that the Spearow would have been defeated, but the little raptor that pecked at him was still vicious.\u0026nbsp; Mike had trained the Spearow well to fight other pokémon and pokémorphs.\u0026nbsp; The machoke morph looked at Mike and he had begun to get dreamy-eyed.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Oshawott is unable to battle,\" said the girl.\u0026nbsp; \"The round goes to Mike's Spearow.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Oshawott, return!\" said Misty, and Oshawott was absorbed into the pokéball.\u0026nbsp; \"Well, Mike, I have to say that it's been quite a gym battle.\"\n\n\"Really?\" asked Mike.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Oh, sure, it's been very stimulating fighting against you,\" said Misty.\u0026nbsp; \"You have all the makings of a great trainer!\u0026nbsp; But, it's time for the Fiesta de resistance!\u0026nbsp; Come out, Golduck!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;She released a pokeball, and it opened releasing Golduck.\u0026nbsp; The evolved form of Misty's Psiduck, this Golduck was slim, powerful, and unlike its former self -- very confident and very balanced.\u0026nbsp; \"Golduck!\" it said.\u0026nbsp; Covered with blue feathers, the humanoid duck had a red pearl in it's head.\u0026nbsp; It also had a feathery serpentine tail.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Psychic scream!\" said Misty.\u0026nbsp; The golduck yelled saying, \"GOL-DUCK!\"\u0026nbsp; Mike grabbed his head as he heard Golduck's psychic scream.\u0026nbsp; It was a high pitched, annoying noise that he heard.\u0026nbsp; He wanted to shut out the screaming by holding his ears but he was helpless to see that Ace was affected.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"No, Ace!\" said Mike.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Spearrrrrrrr-OW!\" said Ace, as it cawed in pain.\u0026nbsp; Ace dropped out of the sky as Golduck stopped it's psychic scream. Mike caught Ace.\u0026nbsp; The raptor was totally exhausted from the psionic scream.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Ace is unable to battle, the win goes to Golduck!\" said the girl, pointing the flag of victory in Misty's direction.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Yay, Golduck!\" said Misty.\u0026nbsp; \"GOLDUCK!\" returned the pokémon.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;Mike pointed Ace's ball at Ace and said, \"That was good, Ace.\u0026nbsp; Return and have a long rest.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Spearow,\" Ace weakly said before it returned to it's pokeball. \u0026nbsp; Mike stood up and said, \"Okay, Misty, I have a surprise of my own.\u0026nbsp; Kelly, take the field!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Yes, Master!\" said Kelly as he hopped on the water like a ballet dancer.\u0026nbsp; He then walked on the water to the floating island. \u0026nbsp; The ninetales morph was ready.\u0026nbsp; However, Misty was surprised.\u0026nbsp; She looked dumbfounded.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Your ninetales morph can walk . . .\" she gasped, \"on water?\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"It took a while, but you are looking at the only fire pokémorph that is resistant to water,\" said Mike. \u0026nbsp; \"A long while for Kelly to practice standing on water, and falling in when he didn't get it right. \u0026nbsp;But, it took a while to build up the confidence and faith he needed to actually control the water tension on his feet and the surface of the water.\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Awesome!\" said Misty.\u0026nbsp; \"But he's still no match for my Golduck.\u0026nbsp; PSYCHIC SCREAM!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;Golduck said, \"Golduck!\" and again came the scream.\u0026nbsp; Kelly held his head as he heard the scream.\u0026nbsp; He fell to the floor and began to cry, the pain was excruciating.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Make it stop!\u0026nbsp; Make it stop!\" said Kelly, as he held his ears.\u0026nbsp; His face was twisting into a knot of pain as he bared his teeth.\u0026nbsp; It was torture, it was unbearable.\u0026nbsp; This is the power of the Golduck?\u0026nbsp; A water psychic pokémon?\u0026nbsp; Everything was drowning out, screaming was all his world.\u0026nbsp; Kelly was fading, and then . . .\u0026nbsp; he curled into fetal position.\u0026nbsp; Kelly was going to give up.\u0026nbsp; He closed his eyes and everything was turning white.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\"You're nothing! I've been called weak, girly, and feminine and everything in between.\u0026nbsp; But I won't be called weak by you!\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"GOLDUCK!\" said Golduck.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nMisty saw her Golduck squawking.\u0026nbsp; He ran off his island and headed towards the huge windows.\u0026nbsp; He put his back to the glass.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Golduck!\u0026nbsp; What do you think you're doing!\" said Misty.\u0026nbsp; \"Are you the Psyduck you used to be?
