{"sf1_id":519606,"sf2_id":"GnD4X5jn","title":"The boat","author":"Ephemeral_Dreams","words":434,"posted_at":"2013-03-28T04:00:00.000Z","tags":["I'm on a boat m...nevermind","M/solo","No-Yiff","Poetry"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/519606-the-boat","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/GnD4X5jn","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/2d/77/2d770ef3-2ccf-4c69-a3a4-9918f6553957","description":"","content":" **The boat**\n\n**By Ephemeral\\_Dreams**\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nIt comes yet again, the vessel to guide me.\n\nI ride it yet again, every day without recourse.\n\nThe fee is quite steep, only costs one soul to ride.\n\nYet the boat is quite full, fully filled with countless others.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nEvery morning we board, every night we depart.\n\nOnly to ride along a thin river, separating the two plateaus.\n\nOne shore filled with flowers and happy thoughts.\n\nAnother filled with demons and unholy troughs.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe boatswain is Death himself, motivated by the unknown.\n\nPerhaps the few that slip off and fall into the river, to be no more.\n\nOr maybe to delegate some to disembark onto that hellish shore.\n\nRegardless of the reason, he is always there, never late, never early.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nAmidst the dangerous ride we partake in, yet another turmoil boils daily.\n\n\u0026nbsp;Arguments of many natures, disputes of pointless subjects.\n\nFew more fall off, shoved and pushed by the foolish.\n\nWhy can they not see, that is just His wish.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nSo many of us board every day, almost none of us make it to the end.\n\nSo few of us see the truth, the distant shoreline.\n\nToo focused on the dark visage of our boatswain,\n\nDistracted from their own evils that grow from within.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nWhy is it so hard to see, the true nature of this ship.\n\nThe vessel to carry us back and forth, from day and night.\n\nIs a test to see our true selves, where we find our identities.\n\nA chance to become more, more than just a human being.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nTranscending the boundaries between the shores.\n\nTraveling the long river upstream until we reach safe haven.\n\nTo observe the conflicts, needless deaths and pain.\n\nTo be one in the distant future, a single entity.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe words \"all for one, one for all\" have never been truer.\n\nEspecially on this river where it rains sorrow.\n\nWhere cowards have no place but to die and wither.\n\nFor we have no seats left for such degenerative souls.\n\nNot on this boat of life.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nAnother...ramble of sorts? Derived from the harsh, foolish communtiy I have to see every day in League of Legends as well as any other online community. Just wish everyone would see we have a common goal and just...be aware.
