{"sf1_id":528905,"sf2_id":null,"title":"Poem: The World Ablaze","author":"Sylversin","words":345,"posted_at":"2013-04-20T08:11:00.000Z","tags":["Metaphor","Metaphoric","Sorrow","Sylversin","The world ablaze","fire","poem"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/528905-poem-the-world-ablaze","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/view/528905","image_url":"https://www.sofurryfiles.com/std/thumb?page=528905\u0026ext=.jpg","description":"","content":"\n\nThe world seems to crash around you\nYour staring at the flames as they cover your world\nBright and hot and oh so dangerous \nYou almost want to walk into the warmth\nWhen you reach out the heat burns your finger tips\nBut you know if you go your fate is set into stone\nYou slowly back up into your door of your room\nFearing for every one in your life suddenly\nYou rip open the door and dash for your first route out\nYou stop to see the door ablaze \nYour heart stops and you run for the other door\nTo find out its covered with fire too\nSo you Take the last possible action and dive out the window\nYou fall onto the ground from the first story\nWith broken glass flying after you\nYou look up and look around as you get up\nMaking sure your not on fire as much as your house is\nYou start calling names hoping some one would reply\nYour Neighbor who is a good friend runs out and hugs you\nAsking where your family is\nSuddenly it hits you, they are not outside\nYou want to run back in to find them\nBut you know in your heart with a heavy feeling\nIt is way to late to save them\nYour heart sinks and you fall to the ground\nWhy you feel this way you have no idea because\nYou had no real personal connection with your family\nThe fire truck and ambulance arrive as you notice your bloodied arm\nYour taken into the ambulance and stiched up while they put out the flames\nThey find a few of your pets and the rest of your family\nThe only one alive was your little sister who turned on the water on the main level\nTo stop her from lighting on fire But she was still at risk\nYou hug her close knowing that the rest of your family is gone as she cries\nThe main thought that goes\nIn and out of your head is...\nWhat do we do now...\n"}
